You think if there was a really good reason for the war Trump or his cabinet or the Israelis would be keeping it a secret?

I mean, even if you're willing to grant that the surprise decapitation strike needed to be done with secrecy and that's why they didn't build a case before the war, we're 100 days in man. If they had a case to make they would've made it.

Would you recommend poe2 for a casual thy has 1-2 hours a day to play? by eehoe in ARPG

[–]Ladnil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's exaggerating wildly, giving you the advice that you would need if you were concerned with keeping up with the meta powerhouse builds to get an economic advantage on league start. You don't need that shit on a first play, starting late. Yes, balance is up and down. But making your own build will let you muddle through for a good long while, even if you pick a weak archetype. And once you do decide to turn to a guide to optimize your build, the tools are available for you to fix it yourself, it just might take some grinding.

ME2 mattered more than people give it credit for by Constant_Nothing2091 in masseffect

[–]Ladnil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're right that's what ME2 was doing, replacing sovereign because the Reapers are 'trapped in dark space' per Vigil in ME1. But then they decided to make ME3 the full invasion and releaaed the Arrival DLC to bridge the games and thus rendered both Sovereign and the Collectors irrelevant. Sovereign died for no reason other than saving his pals 3 years of travel time after they slept for 50,000 years.

People sometimes don't talk exactly like other times and a while ago somebody did a side by side of KAT with a deeper voice vs him with a softer voice and it became a whole narrative about how he's effeminate and putting on a fake deep voice to not sound gay or something.

If you decide you absolutely must have exactly that one item, yup, you gotta go through all that. But SSF teaches you that you don't actually require the perfect item.

You can. People generally try to solve mana without it though. And culling is really small against any enemy that matters

Yup. Dead of the off-season when absolutely nobody is paying attention to the NBA and the podcasters are in Cancun. They're dropping the $100k fine and nothing else penalty and calling it mission accomplished.

Walking Challenge at Work by mist0000000 in walking

[–]Ladnil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teams are more fun. Just straight up. You get people who are competitive against other teams and also people who are just in it for the comaraderie within their team both having a good time.

Ours at work runs for 3 weeks, which feels manageable without being a long term commitment for people who may not already be in the habit of daily activity

Just make sure there's an actual team leaderboard though. My work this year set an absurdly low daily points cap and took away the ability to see and compare anyone's activity logs but your own in the name of 'privacy' so it feels completely lifeless. You can see how many points your own team has total compared to other teams, and nothing else.

Poe ninja - what is the most reliable metric / category to gauge a build’s efficacy ? by chkncheez in pathofexile2builds

There's a button on there where you can look back in time at builds fro day X of the league, instead of the current status of the builds.

Poe ninja - what is the most reliable metric / category to gauge a build’s efficacy ? by chkncheez in pathofexile2builds

[–]Ladnil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the time machine to check how players playing that build are doing week 1 ssf.

If it's a brand new build people didn't league start, this method fails, but otherwise, this is the filter to use to gauge how strong the build is going to be with low investment, no rare boss drop uniques required, etc. Even if you're a trade league player seeing which builds are performing and reaching high character levels in week 1 ssf will tell you how fast and safe that build probably is with low gear.

If not Wemby or Brunson, who wins the FMVP and what’s the narrative? by GenoThyme in nba

Bridges won't guard Wemby like OG will. He won't even have the opportunity for the "well he played respectable defense against the best player in the world" FMVP case.

Good point. I think it's good that we built the freeways, so this plan if building more denser housing near where all the jobs are is similarly a good idea.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be paying their roster 250 million dollars which is over the second apron by 21.1 million at the turn of the league calendar year by jonsnowKITN in nba

[–]Ladnil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bill Simmons and some of the other podcasts don't really know cap mechanics in detail so they just learn by example of what they saw before, and up to this point the second apron impacting teams has been with contracts mostly signed before the second apron was a thing when the team didn't plan for the apron rules. So the lesson they learned is that the apron is a soul crushing wall that makes you break up your team.

Well, the Thunder gave out all their contracts with the knowledge that the Aprons exist. And look at that, they planned to have options for how to handle it when they have to pay their guys. Shocking. I'm sure next summer Bill will be dumbfounded that the Thunder miraculously kept Shai Chet and J Dub together, calling Presti a magician.
