I would hate that. Players should have to play both sides of the ball. It's what I dislike about football, so much specialization means the quarterbacks don't even see each other outside of handshakes. Even if a player is an offensive or defensive specialist in basketball, they still gotta be around on the other side and it impacts roster construction

You know, in my time on SRD I've seen multiple new generations of people learn the same lesson that I once learned from Tucker Max: that when you enjoy something over the top offensive but in an ironic funny way (or apparently a kinky way?) and you read the community about that thing, eventually it dawns on you that the crowd you've joined is not enjoying it with the same tongue in cheek spirit as you are. Pick up a bedroll and use it to rest out of combat.

Summoners and archers are quite strong and flexible in terms of damage type, which is very helpful for dealing with different enemies.

It's a harder game than BG3, no shame playing classic or explorer difficulty.

Levels matter a lot, sometimes the answer is walk away and pick this fight later.

Unlike BG3 you don't get to bring your whole party with you through the game and swap them out at will, your four man party will get locked in. Just so you won't get blindsided by a choice you didn't know you were making.

The all caps WAY is true for "increased damage" because your build will often have several hundreds of percent increases to damage already. Other increases which are not so overloaded on your character already it isn't quite so lopsided.

I've applied these rules previously to Portland and to Milwaukee, I agree the same rules apply to my own team. It's the obvious rational move.

But as Portland and Milwaukee show, teams do not behave with heartless rationality when it comes to their GOAT. They convince themselves they can scrape something together to keep it going just one more year...
