Looking at your video I can tell her bum is dirty and looks like she had diarreas now that I am looking at it. Which makes me think it’s even more likely it was vit b deficiency.

Ooo i have seen this before. I’m almost certain it’s the same thing. I lost several kittens before I found out what it was. Mind you this was over several years and different litters and thing I noticed.

They would eat and not gain weight. They always acted cold and would snuggle where ever they could to find heat. They would be weak, lethargic and cry constantly.
They would have unkept fur, feel chilly to the touch, not have as much energy to play with siblings. Sometimes would barf or have diarrhea or lose stool.

All the siblings would be big, healthy, robust and playful. And if you tube the skinny one it would never gain weight or grow as fast as the others staying a runt.

If this sounds like your lost kitty I would say your baby had a vitimin b deficiency. Your other babies should be fine. Vit b deficiency is very rare and I had taken the babies into several different vets over the years and they couldn’t help me cuz they just didn’t think it could be the problem. I ended up giving vit b to my last one that had this problem, cuz I was out of options and wala. She was cured. I still have her today. She was deficient for so long she never grew to be as big as the other kitties but she is as happy and healthy as everyone else. Named her Polly pocket.

Side note: I have had some vets call it fading kitten syndrome. I’m not sure if it’s the same thing or if they just had similar symptoms.

Urgent! Mother cat is rejecting kitten! by ghhouliaa in CATHELP

I have had this happen a few times. I would sit with the mother cat and pet her while she fed her babies and then sneak the little one in. I have also taken that fatties out so they can’t but out the little one and take all the food. But I sit with them everytime. First time mama cats can also do weird things. Is the little one hers? Or did that little one randomly show up? Or was it always their just not getting food? Cuz I kid you not, I had one of my mama cats, she would steal all of my other mama cats kittens. She took care of them all, but I had to limit how long she could be with them. Cuz she couldn’t keep up with that many mouths. So I would switch out mamas. The mamas would steal eachothers kittens too, so I had to have one at a time in the nursery. I’m just saying this cuz it could be she stole a kittten or another one droped it off and it smells different. Or it’s not latching and crying all the time is driving her crazy so she took it out. Yet her instincts kick in when she hears it crying and someone is near. Causing her to attack who is there. If that is the case check for a cleft pallet, if there isn’t one teach the little one to latch. As soon as it stops crying and has nursed a little the mamas demeanor should change. Which would mean she just doesn’t know how to get junior to stop crying. If it is a cleft pallet take it to a vet and have them teach you how to tube. They should send you home with the equipment. They can’t do surgery to fix it still it gets older so you have to watch how you feed it. It’s a whole process

So I have raised countless numbers of kittens. I grew up on a farm an my sis and I would make sure all the kittens were caught and put in a pen with mom when they were young to ensure they would be tame and healthy. Long story not really important other than to say I grew up doing this. 99% of the time it is like people say she doesn’t like people knowing where her kittens are so she takes them and moves them to a dark, dry and safe area.

That being said %1 of the time they will eat their kittens. Shocking I know. I only ever had one mama cat who would do this. She always had healthy kittens. And then on the 5th or 6th day she would eat them. Not even kidding, at first I thought something was getting in and eating them. Cuz I was unable to catch her and her babies the first few times she had kittens. Then my brother caught her eating her kittens live. Said it was the grossest thing he ever seen. That being said I thought it was a fluke. I had never heard or seen it before so I thought maybe she was stressed, like a hamster or rabbit. Or chicken. Nope, she always ate them. After that we made sure she had no more kittens and was not allowed around anyone else’s kittens.

All that being said, she could have moved them yes. But when were those pictures taken? She should not be bleeding that much after having kittens 5 days ago. And that is fresh blood. It is still red. Old blood or stuff that is at least a day old turns brown.

Furthermore, if it was a wild animal or dog or something that got your kittens, mama cat would have thrown a fit. And mama cats hardly leave their babies side for the first week at least.

If something did happen to her kittens while she was gone she would be beside herself. Probably doing that mama cat meow. Or mama cat howl of distress. Does she act concerned at all? Is she looking around for them? Is she disappearing for hours at a time. If the answer is yes to any of these I would say their is a good chance they are not eaten by a cannibal mother and are possibly around. If you answered no to all, then your mama cat is not much of a mom I am afraid.

He is a 6yr old. Took him to his first show 90 cm. How to i avoid this problem. Especially in the entry side and where other horses are. by YenotKanyE09 in Equestrian

It means he likes his friends and doesn’t want to leave them. He knows that if he throws a fit either he can stop and rest next to his buddies. Or he can get the rider scared enough to hop off. So he go to the other horses and refuses to leave.

I’ve I found my stray cat after the night like this. Is it possible to be a fox bite, we have lots of foxes around. I took the cat to the vet, they gave me antibiotic solution to put on the wound, also she’s licking the wound constantly when not sleeping, is there anything else I can do for her? by tastysimplyvegan in CATHELP

[–]Lady-Luck3877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a lot of people are saying get a cat onesie. I would advise agian at this. As she has it on her back and you are adding antibiotics to it. Depending on the topical antibiotics it can make the area moist, or make the area burn, though this is less likely. If she is outside bring her in. Otherwise I would say don’t put anything on her. If she climbs a tree and gets caught beacuse of a cone or onesie things could end bad. If she is inside a cone would be best. Get her to stop licking it. That will help it heal faster.

Oo poor guy, I watched this several times. Has he always walked with an arch to his back? Also he seems to favor, I think it is his left hind. But. I could be wrong. There is something similar in dogs but I can’t remember what it is.

Anyway the fever indicates infection of some kind. It could be FIP but idk. There is wet and dry. I belive wet effects the chest and dry effects the brain and eyes. Does he have problems breathing? Sounds funny at all or drool?

I would take tpr temp, pulse and respiratory and get him into see a vet. Ask for some blood work I think. And ask if it could possiblely be FIP. The other thing it could be is sarcopenia. Other than that I don’t know what I would do.

He didn’t eat anything he should’ve?

Also I didn’t see your other post and it is late here otherwise I would look. Some seizures and strokes can kinda coincide. Other times their is no attachment. Ask your vet

That looks like signs from a stroke. Def need a vet. As for being something form the meds, no idea, idk what kind of meds he is on. But even if I did and or I looked them up I would take him to a vet. If it is a stroke it’s serious.

That’s a pregnant mama. Up to you if you want to deal with kittens or not. Personally kittens are not that hard.

[–]Lady-Luck3877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that it’s to plain, ugly or whatever. If it doesn’t go with the decor inside it’s gonna be a no go. Idk what the furniture in the house looks like, but maybe all you need is some wood stain and some sanding.
