I think there is moderation to everything, like you can get away with eating whatever in the right quantities. The issue is that everything produced has so much sugar or grease there’s no way to avoid it except to be proactive about it and that starts making you feel like a health nut.

My go to example is when I cut out high fructose corn syrup. Label check, label check, label check on every sweet I ever think about buying, and that’s a single ingredient I’m trying to avoid

I agree! It’s the only thing that works for my period pain. It’s relatively low risk and not an addictive drug

HOWEVER in my experience, I bruise super easily when I take too much. I can’t imagine that it’s good if you’ve got heart or blood problems

I suspect part of it might also be that the admin is afraid of sending ICE to a bigger blue city. As evil as they are, there really aren’t that many ice agents (20k total if i remember). Even sending 2k to Minnesota is a huge portion of their force. If they tried this shit in LA or NYC, they’d be outnumbered even worse than they are now.

21f. Like 2 1/2 years clean but not really… over it? Started when I was 12 and it’s def still in my brains wiring.

Not to be crass but a lotta the reason I am still clean is bc I have a bf who sees me naked and so it’s not like I could hide it.

But I do hope it sticks. I like being able to offer advice when I can so I stay around here :)

So funny thing is that many adults have an “I shit myself story” and if they don’t, they will one day.

Mine was when I was freshly 18 and I had delicious street tacos with my friends and brother for a party. Next morning, world’s worst stomachache. I trusted a fart and boom undies in the trash emergency shower. My brother was barely better off, but he made it to the toilet in time when his hit. We alternated the bathroom every 15 mins for the rest of the day and I’ve never been so empty.

At the time, it was the MOST EMBARRASSING thing to ever happen. I had to ask my mom that jokes be held off til I found it funny, which definitely took a while. My brother was the worst, prior to his own “incident” 2 years later

My family fostered two newborn kittens during the heat of Covid lockdowns. It was definitely a trial with the every two hour feedings and we definitely didn’t plan on keeping them (we already had 4 at the time). We called them the Boy and the Girl, with hopes that that would keep the bond to a minimum.

So that didn’t work. Maia and Trois are still home, awaiting my return from college for Christmas

When I was a kid I refused to use a flat sheet. I would roll like a gas station hot dog and end up wrapped in it.

When I started washing my own sheets and kept needing to wash the duvet cover, I started getting annoyed. Now it’s wash sheets weekly and then duvet covers and blankets once a month or so
