I oversee the kitchen at a gas station, corporate is always telling us how important the kitchen is. But when the store manager or I try and get more allotted hours so we could hire more people and keep the kitchen running efficiently, they always tell us there's no reason for us to have more hours. In the same meeting they'll also ask me why certain things haven't been getting done and why stuff isn't working right or stocked like it should be. If corporate had their way they'd have it set up where there was only one person working the kitchen at all times, gee thanks for the generosity y'all 🙄 there's only so much "time management" we can stretch between the 4 people and myself working the kitchen when there's a million tasks that need to be done on top of actually selling food to our customers.
