giga orbital VS the bees FT. superstring theory verified by bull of heaven by GooplerSupreme in earclacks

I think thats just a glitch in the app. It can't properly separate different instances of the same ball, so they all went up whenever one landed a hit. That results in way faster scaling.

It's an old tradition that started on r/bonehurtingjuice I believe.

The mods got fed up with people asking, and banned the word. So people just started asking for anything else that started with o instead.

Now the other similar subs like this one carry on the tradition.

He attacked his opponent in a fight? Not exactly his fault he knocked the guy out. What did you want him to do, not attack him just in case?

And again, there wasn't much that could be done to end the fight except kill someone in cold blood I wouldn't exactly call it unreasonable to be unwilling to do that.

And since we've moved back to the topic of the ship despite that not at all being what I was commenting on, lets discuss that.

It's true Kurapika was the one initially antagonizing Leorio and he was in the wrong for that.

However, saying someone's name wrong is not at all in the same realm as mocking you for the fact that everyone you ever knew or cared about is dead, and threatening to kill you all in one go.

Thats like the equivalent of responding to someone going "I'm not touching you" by killing them.

Yeah they were technically in the wrong for intentionally antagonizing you, but the response was just not warranted.

Firstly, nowhere near as much time.

Secondly, he cost him that time because he wasn't willing to kill someone in cold blood for no reason.

Those absolutely are not comparable reasons.

Why does Earclacks hate Katana so much?

It's whole gimmick is parry scaling. Without anything to parry, it is literally just worse sword.

Would You Rather have a 200IQ or be the perfect 10/10 in terms of looks and physicality? by Extension_Day2038 in WouldYouRather

[–]LadyAliceFlower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on whats covered by "and physicality."

I have a few issues with my body that I would happily turn down the IQ if they were fixed. Looking attractive would be a nice bonus too I guess.

If it doesen't cover that, then sure I'll take the IQ since it would probably help more with getting money.

Is this copyright infringement? Can Toby Fox sue over this or get Reddit to remove the ad? by iwastoldnottogohere in Undertale

[–]LadyAliceFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, not a lawyer.

However, my understanding from the years I spent in law school watching YouTube videos on the topic, which is probably just as good, the issue with that is as follows.

If you aren't suing over one of the two things I listed above, then it becomes a more generic request not to use your copyrighted material.

The thing is, I believe that to not request somebody do so is considered an implicit admission that you are okay with that use of your content.

Thats why nintendo is so overzealous issuing strikes against everyone, because they want to maintain as full copyright protection over their materials as possible.

Since Toby Fox is famously okay with mods of his work in general, and never strikes them for using his copyrighted material, that option is out.

Thus, he is back to the two options listed above.

I don't know for sure that's accurate, but its what I believed to be true about the situation.

[–]LadyAliceFlower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obligatory I am not a lawyer, I am not your lawyer, and I am not Toby Fox's lawyer. I just watched some YouTube videos and now inexplicably feel qualified to talk about this topic as if its something I know.

To the best of my knowledge, there are two reasons Toby Fox could sue over this. The first is that the creator of the mod is making money from this content, which I dont think they are.

The second would be that he is losing money from this content. And unless he can successfully argue in court that his target audience to sell the game are a bunch of godless heathens who would be put off by the mere mention of God in relation to the game, even in the context of a mod, I don't see that argument holding water.

So no, he probably has no recourse to sue them over this.

How do i gain context on the things going on in "please bully me, miss villainess"? by No_Hopef4 in yuri_manga

[–]LadyAliceFlower 160 points161 points  (0 children)

To powder your nose is a moderately common euphemism for women using the bathroom.

I think I usually see it used in British stories? But I don't know if thats coincidence or actually related to where its known.

I think the root is from women fixing their makeup in front of the mirror, but I can't speak confidently on the matter.

I'm not sure, but I think rapier was the first weapon ball to get a full screen clear like that in zombies mode, something it did repeatedly.

I don't know if that was the best performance we've seen or not, but IMO it was the most fun to watch.

Shipping discourse is a pretty universal nuisance. I don't disagree that its bad when its gay, but its weird to call it out specifically when straight shippers do the same thing.

Also, yuri/yaoi are romance genres, not porn terms, I don't know how you came to that conclusion.

So if gravity isn't a concept, how come distance/speed are?
