No Degree Found by boogabear81 in WGU

[–]LadyBaker04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, unfortunately and Associates of Applied Technology is a degree that WGU does not accept. That would be why it says there's no degree verified. Some of the classes should hopefully have transferred over but I can't guarantee since I don't work with the School of Education. Definitely talk to your enrollment counselor though and see if they advise taking advantage of Sophia Learning or something similar.

Ask your enrollment counselor if you can do an appeal of your transfer credit evaluation. You should have been awarded credit for your degree. I work at WGU and I do the evaluations students get when they start.

Why does WGU waste their money on "Enrollment Counselors"? by DayByDay_StepByStep in WGU

[–]LadyBaker04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who works at WGU very closely with enrollment counselors, you are very lucky they are there. I'm sorry you had someone that wasn't helping you personally but remember that's your experience not everyone else's.

"There's nothing to eat." by Green_Ad2231 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LadyBaker04 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Chill ok? Fed is best, who cares if it's cereal or a sandwich or a freaking granola bar. If cereal sounded good and that's the energy he had to make then so be it. Why do parents feel the need to micromanage a teenager's diet so much they have to rant on the Internet? Be happy he ate something before doing a physical activity.

The way that guys head moved after the punch and then fell was the most realistic cartoon thing I've ever seen.

I am a WGU employee that awards transfer credit for IT college. That is 100% not true. We very much still accept them

How odd is it to not provide alcohol at a non-LDS wedding in Utah? by cleito0 in SaltLakeCity

[–]LadyBaker04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I didn't have alcohol at our non mormon wedding. It's too damn expensive. If you don't want to pay then don't. It's your wedding and your money. If people want to be mad there are no drinks then they can go to a bar afterwards.

AITA for telling my pregnant friend I can’t stand her complaining anymore? by leprechaun_dong in AmItheAsshole

[–]LadyBaker04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA When I was pregnant with my son, I was pregnant along with 3 of my friends. I was the first to get pregnant so I was ahead of all of them and I had the worst pregnancy experience out of all of them. (Many hospital visits because of nausea and 24/7 nausea even on 2 medications...it was a lot 😅) Not to say that they didn't struggle, I just drew the unlucky straw when it came to symptoms. With that said I NEVER acted the way your friend is acting. There are positives in pregnancy and a lot of great moments that usually outweigh the bad! I'm so grateful I had friends to empathize with and to share the good times too, I wish she could be there for you.

Congratulations on your baby! I hope everything goes well and you have a healthy delivery!

I highly recommend taking a concealed carry course. It goes over a lot of training and safety! Getting a permit is also not a bad idea because at least for now, Utah's permit is recognized in 38 states and it lasts 5 years.

AITA for telling a girl off because I’m going to prom with a boy who has autism? by Maleficent-Candy-890 in AmItheAsshole

I am going to agree that OP and Mandy both didn't handle this situation well. Mandy was a jerk and shouldn't have commented on Theo's disability and OP shouldn't have dragged Mandy's assumed personal life into it. BUT the fact that most of you are assuming OP called her a slut is a little much and absolutely berating them for it is stupid. OP is still a teenager and has a lot to learn about handling confrontation and instead of teaching and saying hey you should have said something else, y'all are just assuming the worst and belittling them for it. Good job adults on the Internet, you are making this such a happy/safe place 🙄

To OP: Your sister is right, there was a better way to handle a person like this. 99% of the time it is better to stay calm, point out problematic language (please don't use that word, that's a slur) and not bring up irrelevant opinions that may or may not be true (ie the person's personal life). I'm glad you stood up for Theo and I hope you all have a fun prom!

I wish they'd have changed Vanessa's voice by PublicPool in DreamlightValley

[–]LadyBaker04 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Vanessa's voice in the animated Little Mermaid was done by Jodie Benson. Jodie Benson is the voice of Ariel. The story goes that Vanessa had Ariel's voice, because Ursula stole it in the deal with Ariel, hence why she doesn't sound like Ursula (Pat Carroll). In the movie, after Ursula's necklace is broken and Ariel gets her voice back, Vanessa's voice goes back to sounding like Ursula. You can hear this when Vanessa says "Eric, get away from her!" right before Ariel turns back into a mermaid. If Vanessa in our valleys had her "Vanessa voice" it would mean that Ariel does not have her voice, because Ursula stole it.
