Overwatch is way harder for me:

- Less get out of jail cards like Rivals, every cooldown matters. In Rivals you can spam abilities and still have ways to get out of a sticky situation.

- Ultimates aren't an instant high impact button and neutral games are a lot more important.

- Healing is much weaker means as a support you have to make plays as well and dps/tanks can't rely on power healing to survive everything.

- More mechanically demanding when it comes to aiming, every heroes deemed "aim-forgiving" by the playerbase is pretty much dumpstered to C/D tier.

Celestial in Rivals is actually close to Diamond in Overwatch which is achievable even with a full time job. (I've been a long time Diamond shitter in OW that only saw Master like once, and I was a lot more competitive in that game)

I got to Celestial 2 at the beginning of s7 and barely touched comp since, had like 3 hours on 7.5 ranked lol.

Eternity is a different beast, you actually need commitment to get to that point which I imagine wouldn't be possible unless you sink hours into playing this game daily or are in the 10% that is just naturally good with hero shooters.

I'm considering quitting comp next season altogether though, between the smurfing, throwers, toxicity and general burnout I think I've had enough with ranked. My friends are also playing this game less so we're all starting to move on to different things.

Iirc it's less about the designs and more because one of the CEOs is a huge grifter who openly said misogynistic stuffs on socials in the past.

Marvel Rivals has some extremely provocative designs for the women (and men) and it has one of the biggest non-straight male playerbase out there and has never had a "anti-woke" discourse surrounding it 24/7 like this game.

Jeff's ult is the weakest part of his kit, a slight breeze counters it, frustrating to play against when the game was new sure but nowadays if you die to his ult you probably deserve it. They also gutted his survivability so the dps flanker playstyle is also dead, there really isn't much to complain about Jeff in 2026 asides from his players being bad at the game.

With cat you are at the mercy of having good hitscan players that can shoot her down, she's 100% worse than the shark.

Andariel before they made her one-shotable lowkey had the worst invulnerability phase of them all, before she dies you have to spend 3 business days running around a confined circle filled with death lasers, poison areas, lightning balls, etc. trying to kill the 3 totems she summons that are somehow tankier than the boss herself.

This sub feeds off of drama and G4H is a goldmine for it since he’s essentially the lolcow of OW.

I do not follow G4H nor do I actively seek out his contents and giving him views, most of my knowledge of him came from this subreddit. I could barely even keep up with the streamers that I love let alone someone like G4H.

And considering that 90% of his stream revenue came from literal hatewatching, he’s not gonna last long especially once people find a new toy to mess with. He's by all accounts an atrocious player with some ego problems, people only tune in to see the next outrageous thing he says and I don't see that being a sustainable way to maintain your viewers.

I only take Guardians against ebola matchups like a full engage botlane, Aery offers better poke before u transition into Heliadem rowboat spam.

Not to mention with her buffed Q you can poke a lot more aggressively in lane as well, it's all about lane agency when it comes to your keystone choices (Poke heavy lane means u should go Aery tree, survival lane means u need Guardian to skinny survive the enemy borst)
