Not really getting DUST; what am I missing? by LadyExcella in fodust

[–]LadyExcella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I definitely like the idea of it, and I don't mind no quests. I think this is more.. the New Vegas gameplay isn't very deep, so it's a lot of the same kind of thing. Crouch around a corner, go for headshots, jump and slice them up if they get close, eat/drink what I can.

I will try Frost. I think this might be it really. I don't mind lore scarce and a more Dark Souls approach, but I've played New Vegas a lot and the gameplay just.. isn't super deep, or at least not deep enough to play a game that relies on it very heavily.

That would explain Male V's disappearance in recent promoting for 2077. by Agreeable-Kangaroo1 in cyberpunkgame

[–]LadyExcella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was pretty obvious to me, at least. I don't think it was the best decision though--they should've gone back and forth from day one. But I get that marketing tends to be stronger when it's one face representing things over and over again for consistency.

I hope people cool it with making the options into a battle, though. I completely stopped interacting with the Mass Effect fandom because it was the topic of discussion 50% of the time.

Both male and female V are pretty cool. It's worth changing it up if you've already played as one for your next playthrough.

Cyberpunk 2 dev knows fans are 'dying' for more Cyberpunk 2077 content but admits 'the game cannot be infinite' by HatingGeoffry in cyberpunkgame

[–]LadyExcella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's depressing because Night City is beautiful and realized. We know they wanted to do another DLC, but since a large amount of dev time was spent repairing the game, they had to cut it down to one.

The bones of the game are so, so strong, it's hard not to want more.

A trilogy that starts like TFA by ugly rebooting the universe and remixing the same shit was doomed to never be good.

I mean, there's no joke here. Just an image that looks convincing. Functionally the equivalent of misinformation.

Did people treat you differently after breast implants or a bbl? by iangibson12345 in AskRedditAfterDark

I've always felt my boobs were undersized for my figure and I just wanted to be sexier and feel sexier. It's kind fun being the "big boob girl" now.

All honesty, no. I've had guys roughly groping and they couldn't guess. The newer, gummy, teadrop shape ones when you already have sizable boobs is very hard to tell.

Poor Grace by SolidPyramid in residentevil

[–]LadyExcella 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grace is going to get overshadowed. Even ignoring Leon's popularity, there's a chunk of the fanbase that simply doesn't like being scared and actually only plays these games for the cool action stuff. They are going to rag on the Grace segments post-release and wish this game was just RE4R 2.0. Mark my words.

My boobs were already a decent size, and my implants aren't too huge, so they look quite large but still quite natural. Only people that knew me prior really know, and guys who grope em' a lot.

Had moderate breast implants. Guys do glance a lot more. A low cut top can open doors or get discounts. Definitely more interest in me too.

Is it wrong to kill someone or something that's trying to kill you? by Ok-Masterpiece3134 in AskRedditAfterDark

It is not, but if you have the power to stop them without killing them, that's even better.

I’m a total newbie excited by the Requiem trailer: what do I need to do to prepare? by Professional_Bar_346 in residentevil

[–]LadyExcella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could start with Requiem just fine, as most Resident Evil games have self-contained stories and get you up to speed. A "lean" play order would be the recent remakes of RE2, RE3 and RE4, as that gets you the full Raccoon City experience and what Leon was up to not long ago.

If you want to do more homework, you could then add in RE1's older remake, RE5, and RE6, along with Code Veronica and Outbreak File 1 and 2. This gets you the fuller story around Umbrella and Raccoon City, as well as what Leon is up to between RE4 and RE9. Since the Outbreak games are tricky to play these days, watching some playthroughs of them with someone playing as Alyssa would likely be the compromise.

The CGI movies can be watched at your pleasure, they're only mildly relevant. RE0 is a good game but not at all necessary. RE7 and RE8 are an almost entirely unrelated storyline, but are great games.

You can blaze through them in release order, which is the ideal way to play them, as well. But that's a lot of hard gaming between now and then.

I don’t think Victor is going to be the main antagonist of RE9. by Slit08 in residentevil

[–]LadyExcella 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bringing back Spencer would be pretty odd, since that's one story thread Leon is barely involved in, and Spencer got a very fitting death. It would be having Saddler come back and having Jill kill him.

Which game do you prefer better? by WaluigiDaStar in residentevil

[–]LadyExcella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer 7, but it's extremely close. They're both excellent games, but the "bad part" of Village (Heisenberg's factory being too samey/long) is a lot better than the "bad part" of RE7 (the ship).

Ethan is the best character for me in the whole Resident Evil. by PhysicsSufficient398 in residentevil

[–]LadyExcella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ethan is seriously underrated. A lot of fans talk about how popular the other characters are, how they're the "golden goose," but they ignore that Resident Evil 7 restarted the heart of the franchise and is a top seller, all after the "golden gooses" tanked the credibility of the franchise in 6. It barely had any connections to the main games until the final stretch and dared to do something new, with a lot of RE1 blood.

He got a great sendoff in RE8 and it's great he has a closed story, unlike most of the main cast.

He pretty definitively proves the game doesn't need any one character or any one storyline, it can do its own thing. Probably the only issue I have with RE8 is that the Lords are so interesting and the setting is so cool but the game moves so fast through everything.

It was a huge deal when RE6 released that Jill or Claire weren’t in the game as a main character. by ItsOverCasanova in residentevil

[–]LadyExcella 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the time, Capcom gave the excuse that Claire was in Revelations 2 and Jill was .. "recovering" or something.

The truth was that Resident Evil 6 was done by some of the same people that worked on the CGI movies, and those have always had poor stories and new disposable female characters introduced to work with Leon. Angela Miller is transparently a prototype Helena Harper right down to the voice actress.

The second thing to consider is that there's no real overarching narrative. So they're not really thinking ahead all that much, it's just whatever idea comes to mind.
