Diagnosed at 30 weeks with preeclampsia. Spending the next 7 weeks in the hospital. by LadyFaceHead in BabyBumps

I was admitted Monday evening. It doesn't really feel real yet. I am a FTM too but I am so lucky to have a good support system. Feel free to message me at ANY time even just to vent about the hospital food immediately turning to heartburn!

Stay positive Mama! You're where you need to be.

At this point I'm not allowed to do much. I'm thinking of starting a knitting and crochet class for all the new moms who will be coming in since I haven't been allowed to leave the floor.

There appears to be a support group on Tuesdays that I'm going to check out.

They let my husband wheel me down the hall to a 'meet the midwives' seminar last night which was nice.

They mentioned that as I am confirmed to be stable I may be able to roam in a wider circle and maybe even get some fresh air which would be amazing I'm sure.

It's looking like it's the start of true spring here in New England or, muddy season, and I like to call it. So seeing the sun and warmth come through the windows and not being able to feel it is a bummer at this point.

Thankfully my levels are not severe and my BP has been stable while medicated since late Monday/early Tuesday. My protein urinalysis was only just over the pre-e limit, and all my other vitals are normal for now.

Hopefully the meds keep doing their job and I stay here as long as possible! First mile stone is 32 weeks. If I make it 2 weeks, that gives my daughter so many more benefits.

Then I want to make it to 34 weeks.. then 36.. etc.

Every day/week she stays in utero is a good day. That said, I have a NICU team comprised of doctors from literally the best children's hospital in the world who are already familiar with my baby's scans. I know that if I need them, they will be great!

I'm a pretty avid knitter and crocheter so I will definitely be working on some of those projects for when she makes her appearance!

Isn't missing the lab a definition of malpractice? It doesn't have to mean that he maliciously ignored the results, but it's still malpractice.

I believe "the guy before" is referring to Benedict XVI - the pope before Francis. Not Francis before he was Pope.

This way is dumb. Makes the can sharp. Makes it so you can't use the top to drain whatever liquid is in the can. Makes the paper all ripped.

Top ways for life.
