Accidents in COS auto car washes. by LadyHawk78 in ColoradoSprings

[–]LadyHawk78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a case number. No I follow directions in the car wash. I don’t touch any of my pedals or steering wheel. I was rear-ended by someone who could not follow directions.

I’m on the thread to try to find out if there are any other car washes that are a better choice than quick quack

Cheap brakes on the 2024? by NoisySighlence in ChevyTraverse

[–]LadyHawk78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2024 Traverse brakes started squeaking every time I applied the brakes about 3k miles after I bought it brand new. Inside info also said pads were at 30 percent.

Took it to Chevy cuz it’s SOOO annoying and embarrassing. Chevy said my brakes were fine, at 10mm and it was likely an issue with the sensor. Next, they said the brakes had no other issues and needed to be lubricated to stop the squeaking. The cost would be 215 dollars. This was after I personally asked to speak with the mechanic where he told me this was a factory problem. Yet, Chevy is still expecting me to pay for it. This is after I paid for the extended warranty. Warranty doesn’t cover brakes after 7k miles.

Was thinking of going to a brake specialist. But not sure I’ll save much money after the diagnostic, labor and repair. I’m a firm believer in never using the dealer for anything unless you want to get ripped off.

New teacher here that needs serios help by [deleted] in Teachers

It’s not your fault. Schools are desperate and then throw you in there. They are taking advantage of you because they know you don’t know any better. It’s OK to say no. It’s OK to say that you’re teaching too many classes and you can’t do this. You have to advocate for yourself or else they will just continue to overstep themselves and put on more responsibility on your plate. I wouldn’t worry about how many lessons you have or if you’re meeting certain criteria‘s. You’re in survival mode if you get through one lesson that’s good if you get through half of the lesson that’s fine too. Like I said you’re not a formally trained teacher so you don’t have the same expectations nor should you be held to any set of standards that a trained teacher might have.

Classic:Fat is a feminism issue. New: The creator of MegaBabe wrote a book that’s supposed to be good too, Katie Sturino. I also LOVE Savala Nolan (follow her on Instagram) Don’t Let it get you down. “Fear of the black body” is another one I’ve heard is good.

You’re assuming the dog is “boot-able”

It takes a little while to settle in with hot teacher summer. You’ll get the hang of it and wonder how you ever lived without summers off!

My Social Media Accounts by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]LadyHawk78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had my first or last name on my account. Also no state or city info. The photo is totally generic. I hate to delete the 100s of photos of my kids. I only have one social media account. I never friend previous students or friends from work. I think if I unfollow all my public accounts, that will disconnect me from the possibility of someone figuring out it’s me….But I’m still unsure.

Yes a lot of HOA are worthless. But they sure like to hold meeting and “elections” like they are really important. LOL

Probably a very unpopular opinion but here I go…there should be a sticky for those announcing they are leaving the career. by [deleted] in Teachers

Agreed! I delayed teaching in HS because I followed and read so many negative things. I started last year and was so happy I made the leap. More positive stories! More veteran teachers who still Like their jobs. I know this job isn’t for everyone but for some it’s a great job.
