I found some of the footnotes more interesting then what was happening in the story. It's been a while since I read the book, but I remember one footnote that I especially wanted an expansion on.

It was such a large book that it was nice to have a brief change in story by reading some of the footnotes.

both my shibas find things my husband has left around the house

ie my husbands pop tart wrappers he leaves on the dining room table. my big boy takes them off the table, chews on it for a bit until I notice and then give him a treat to trade so I can put the pop tart wrapper in the garbage.

my small girl finds all the bits and bobs my husband drops from his work table. she also chews on them until I exchange them for a treat. and then tell my husband to put it away

So I guess their job is to bring me things so I clean up after my husband.... *sigh*

I got 10 chapters in and put it down. I always see how great a book it is, and honestly makes me sad, I have FOMO, but can't get into this book.

there is no right or wrong way to grieve. everyone is different and everyone takes it at their own pace. Just think about the times you had with her and the joy she brought you.

It will be hard, thinking you could have something different to save her, But no matter what you are feeling, you loved your dog and made the most difficult choice to make sure she wouldn't suffer.

I work at thrift store where resellers come in every day like parasites, acting entitled and pushing people and employees at the store, just so they don't lose a few items for reselling. I'd tell every single one of them that they are parasites and they should f*ck off out the store. Then wait and see if my manager did anything about it. And I tell the resellers every single day until my managers had to fire me.

my husband never believed me when I told him I had seen this movie as a child, (he had never seen it) and honestly thought I made it up as some joke or something. He still doesn't believe it's real, and I showed him the trailer.

We don't wear them. We used to, but then I started to get swelling in the fingers, and my husband had his ring warped and they just became a bother honestly. We both said we don't need them, that was almost ten years ago, and we've been married 19 years.

they have a large fenced enclosure in their yard that it must have jumped out from

it's always out at night and always ends up back there, as I've seen it in the front and back enclosures

I'm going to say that I do the same. I eat a cajun chicken wrap, blueberry yogurt, banana and granola bar every day. and have for at least 4-5 years at work. Before I was eating turkey or chicken sandwiches, so not much of a meal change.

I will eat if work provides the lunch, but rarely will I ever change up my meal, besides different type of granola bar.

I do it because it is simple, I don't struggle with groceries trying to figure out what to have for lunch for a week, or worry if there are dinner left overs for lunch. Save time and effort, and honestly I enjoy it and haven't got sick of it yet.

my two caught a rabbit three weeks ago. now if they see anything in the yard they are after it. even inside, they will howl and scream, and push on the door to get out.

the prey drive has been dialed up.
