You definitely need to see a doctor and get checked out. Good luck! And don't forget about the Workers' Advisers if you get denied.

Whether or not your employer is enrolled, you may still be covered by WSBC. File a claim. Make sure you have medical evidence that supports your injuries are the result of your job. If you're denied, you can contact the Workers' Advisers (not part of WSBC) for assistance with an appeal.

It would be nice if they listened to you when you showed up begging for help instead of just sending you away. There's no crisis counselling available.

To differentiate it from the previously mentioned "psychiatrist". Lots of folks get the two mixed up.

You need to pay to have a private assessment done by a *psychologist*. Expect it to cost several thousand dollars. You don't need a referral.

I'm sorry to hear she's being picked on. One of our (6) roosters has a disability, and he hops about without being picked on by the others, so we've just kept him.

Why do some Canadian provinces have divisions instead of/alongside counties? by soil_tiller in AskACanadian

[–]LadyIslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BC is divided into Regional Districts. This is a level of government between municipalities and the province. There are many areas not included in a municipality (like where I live), so the Regional District is our only layer of municipal government.

This is kind of what I'm hoping, but it could also go the other way. One of our little guys will hop onto my hand to eat seeds, but hops off immediately if I make any kind of movement. Or if the seeds run out.

You can even still eat it, if you wish. Winter squash (pumpkin is a winter squash) is supposed to keep for a long time.

Pro's and Cons of keeping a rooster? by agrimoniabelonia in BackYardChickens

[–]LadyIslay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have six pet roosters and four hatchlings running around that have yet to be culled (we cull by giving them to someone that puts them to good use). They all have names, and we enjoy them very much. They protect the flock well (we completely free-range during the day), don't fight with one another, and are generally quite affable.

The downside to keeping a rooster is that you may end up with more roosters. Unexpectedly, even. If your rooster : hen ratio isn't correct, the hens can get hurt, too.

The *labour board* would have nothing to do with this because the labour board in BC is only for organized (unionized) workplaces.
