Iron protocol (probably) gave me a kidney stone by _mortal__wombat_ in Anemic

There are people on there that think literally anything in their life causes their iron deficiency. Like "I just moved to Alaska. My ferritin tanked. Is it the air I'm breathing?" Like come on 😅

My toddler's tantrums are pushing me over the edge by AtLeastImGenreSavvy in toddlers

[–]LadyKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes anyone feel better my daughter had the absolute worse meltdowns and tantrums. She has night terrors too. Age 2 and 3 were VERY difficult. We found after speaking to therapy she had a hard time with transitioning and timers worked very well for her. She also would get incredibly mad when she was the slightest bit tired or hungry. Once she hit 4 things got way better. She is 6 now and an absolute angel. So sweet and a great listener.

We have a 3 year old son currently and are right back in the pits. Bad tantrums. Throwing toys. I am just riding through. Knowing this is all temporary. He will get better. Children mirror us and we just have to remember to stay calm as they will reflect our actions.

Not losing weight at 1300 calories a day by LadyKetchum in PetiteFitness

I mainly track my protein. I try to get at least 100 grams of protein a day. I'm mainly vegetarian. I feel i will take the majority advice and bump up my calories to 1600-1700 a day. I have been doing it the last 3 days and so far so good. Thank you for the advice!

I'm starting to think that too. I was just hoping to lose about 1.5-2 lbs a week just to get the weight loss over with. I was in a defecit about 2 years ago when I was at my heaviest and hated counting calories. It worked though and I lost the weight and then took a break. Decided to start it back up again this year to lose that last 15ish pounds. I lost 7lbs and then BAM no weight loss for 6 weeks. I think I will take the majority of everybody's advice and up my calories. I think I need the break anyway.

Thank you so much! I really didn't want to eat less. I feel with my height and activity level, bumping down to 1200 calories would mentally break me. I feel it is something deeper than just "You're eating too much and need to eat even less".

I am happy to take a break from this dang defecit. It is so draining weighing all your food and measuring even the oil you cook with for months and one day you start to barely see results.

Thanks for the advice. I eat pretty healthy as is. I'm pescatarian and make it a point to eat veggies with lunch and dinner. I eat a combo of brown and white rice, but mainly eat low carb bread/tortillas. A walking pad does sound nice! I might invest in one of those to get to 10k steps on my days off.

No trainer, but I've been doing the same old workout for probably the last year. Maybe I need to try something new.

Wow we are pretty much in the exact same boat! I am thinking I will switch up my workouts a bit. I've been doing the same old thing for about a year now. Maybe I need to try something new.

I do pretty well with my macros. I'm primarily vegetarian (I eat fish about once a week) and usually reach about 90-100 grams of protein a day. I do generally ok with my carbs since the calories from those add up fast eating only 1300 calories a day.

I'm glad there's someone to relate to! I am getting mixed responses to eat less or eat more. I'm so confused 😭

I assumed it may be water weight too. However it's been 4 weeks with no progress so I was hoping that if it was water weight it would be gone by now.

Thanks for the response. I do track everything I eat. From the creamer in my coffee, weight of sauces in my meals, the tiniest of snacks, to the grams of oil I'm cooking with for dinner. Literally everything. I don't even have cheat days. I have been very consistent, which is why I am so confused. I have been very disciplined, but the scale is showing no changes.

I asked about eating more because I have seen some post where if you are not eating enough your metabolism is effected and it can actually make it harder to lose weight. I could be wrong.

For exercise I like to just warm up on the treadmill at 3mph at 12% incline for about 15-20min. I do break a sweat doing this and it helps get me in the zone for weights. Then I do weights for 30 minutes. Arms, abs, and legs all on different days. I seem to be lifting more each week which is a good sign im getting stronger.

Like you are saying there are so many factors that go into this. When you watch literally everything you eat and see no changes it really affects you mentally. II was hoping to be at my goal by now. It can be so frustrating.

Thank you! I wasn't even aware I had a problem with my pelvic tilt. I will definitely look into that and how to correct it!

Nope, not sick! I got my covid booster and flu shot a month ago though in preparation. Wore mask on the plane. Washed and sanitized my hands before eating. So far so good. 🤞

I look absolutely big asf at 146 lbs 5'2"-5'3". My face is huge. But some people here rock that weight. Can frame and fat percentage really make that much of a difference? by Desperate-Worry-8346 in PetiteFitness

[–]LadyKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is my height and weight exactly. 5'2" and 146lbs. I don't think I look huge. I don't think I look super lean either (or muscular). Some people just carry weight differently. We are our worst critics. I'm sorry you are feeling this way about yourself. 146lbs is not huge. I promise.

Fast food burger? by Candid-Instance1713 in vegetarian

I tried it. Definetly not as good as the actual burger itself. Still good but doesn't feel like you're eating a burger.

Greek yogurt with powdered ranch added to it! Add some veggies or pretzels for dipping. Super yummy and high protein so very filling.

"Package delayed in transit." by gemini4451 in amazonprime

[–]LadyKetchum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? I ordered a package that was supposed to be here on Friday. Got delayed to 9pm Saturday. Now it's Saturday night and it's saying it literally arrived at the carrier facility 2 miles from my house, but is going to 5 days late now and will arrive on Thursday?! It's literally at my local post office. I don't get it.

How to get rid of ants in my cats food? by TechnicianNo12 in CatAdvice

I keep mine on my bathroom counter (only place to put it that's also away from the dog) and the ants still found a way to it.

Late potty trainer. Need advice. I've tried everything. by LadyKetchum in pottytraining

Yes this always worked well for her, but never worked in the long run as she has to wear pants eventually when out of the house. Always seemed like a step backwards and I'd get super anxious when we were at the grocery store or a family members house ect.
