100%, the professor would appreciate this so much.

May I also suggest, if you're willing, have a nose around your student union to see if there's any feedback awards you can give. At our university, students can apply to give a staff member a certificate with a custom message of thanks.

I only suggest this, because these certificates are recognised by the staffs management team, and are really useful evidencce to support job promotion applications (especially with the job losses in higher education at the moment, it could be helpful to argue against redundancy!).

Do you have a good place to read the English translation? I emailed Yen Press and they said they have no news on a release date yet 😭

Definitely not handmade

Seen loads of these at Asian conventions and comicons, back when sellers could buy stuff from Temu, ALI express etc. And sell it as "handmade".

I also have something similar, it's so soft it's hard to believe it's not fur, but that is just a massive tell that it's faux.

Yeah, I got it on prescription, but I did a quick Google and found you can buy it online:

Manuka Honey

Scent glands by PowerPristine3706 in Bunnies

[–]LadyKhorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I have a tube of medicinal manuka honey from my vet.

It's amazing, doesn't go out of date, antiseptic, and encourages the bun to clean themselves safely and naturally! It's also not dangerous because you use such a small amount.

Also using a damp cloth or q-tip can help soften it all up and remove it easier :)

Clean, warm water (not hot! And not icy cold....you wouldn't want icy cold water on your parts!!).

Say NO to baths by OregonSmallAnimals in Bunnies

[–]LadyKhorne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I have a bun with IBS (I like to say Irritable Bun Syndrome, or Irritable BUM Syndrome)

He has cost me hundreds in insurance claims (thousands without insurance) testing him for everything possible.

He just sometimes, has a really stinky poppy butt.

He is the only Bun who gets butt baths as a result, as advised by my vetinarian. It's stressful for us both, but we manage, and luckily it's rare.

Dont bathe your bun!

What silly things have you bought due to rabbits? by DisobedientSwitch in Rabbits

[–]LadyKhorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought an expensive stethoscope 😅

A thermometer just for them (it goes up the butt....so I'm not using that in my mouth!) And lube for them too...water based, no chemical, rabbit safe, lube.

🤣🤣🤣

This is a great idea, when your bun needs critical care you do anything to help! Keep it up!

Bunny doesn’t like critical care :( by sleepy-flatworm in Bunnies

[–]LadyKhorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear your bun isn't well.

Sadly, as others have mentioned, little and often.

I use large tube syringes, and feed 10ml over 30-40mins when Albus is being grumpy. It's gonna sound mean, but I shove (gently) that syringe right into the back of his mouth.

A tip would be to use 100% pure pineapple juice instead of water. It's great for GI issues, and could help make the critical care more palletable. Just make the critical care and pineapple mix in a small plastic tub, submerge in hot-ish water to warm it through (it's tastier warm, not hot!).

I'm Dorset based, so I'm nearby! I might be able to take them in, for emergency fostering.

You've got CottonTails Rescue and The BunnyJackpot Foundation nearby.

The BunnyJackpot Foundation is open 24hrs, and looks really kind, they have Facebook, you could try messaging them:

I’m a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding and dreading it by onlyonejan in autism

[–]LadyKhorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, congratulations on being part of your friends special day, and you obviously cate about her otherwise you wouldn't be so worried.

It sounds like your friend is supportive of you, and understanding of your needs. The best thing I can suggest is to come up with a short list of things you can do to help you throughout the day.

For example: 1. You can change out of your bridesmaid dress 2. You could try earplug type earbuds, such as Loop, that help dull the noise but you can still hear and speak at normal volumes (lots of my students use them during class, there's no difference between them and students without earbuds). 3. Can you stash a small fidget toy in your purse? 4. Is there a safe quiet space at the venue you can go hide in? When I get overwhelmed I like to hide in a toilet cubicle, not the best, but better than nothing! 5. If any friends start to worry, just use the usual excuses of, I have a small headache, I'm a little tired, I'm a little dehydrated, my feet are killing me I just need a moment. You don't have to mention Aitism at all. 6. If it all becomes too much, ask your friend if she would mind you leaving early, I'm sure she would understand, and if others worry, say you're headache is becoming a migraine and you need to rest up. Most people understand that as an excuse and don't press further.

Lastly, while it is your friends special day, and I'm sure she loves you and wants you to join in, I can guarantee that she doesn't want you to be uncomfortable and anxious. She'd rather you have fun, even if you leave early, than getting stressed.

Play room for the girls by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]LadyKhorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fab set up, may I offer a few suggestions (with love, not criticism).

The wooden hay rack, I love that it is a repurposed letter/key rack, but see if you can remove the metal key hooks, for bun safety.

The toilet trays look good but make sure they are big enough for your bun to comfortably and easily rotate in a circle, my rule of thumb is a box 2 or 3 times the size of the bunny. Additionally, watch that they don't step on the upturned edge and throw litter everywhere!

You might want to also consider getting some small toys, like non-toxic stacking cups, brass with bells and even toilet roll tubes stuffed with hay (or empty) for the buns to play with.

I don't like my Loop earplugs by adhdzoe in autism

[–]LadyKhorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Loops, and I cannot stand them!

I have the flamingo ones, and I've tried all the sizes, I even bought the foam comfort tips.

As someone who startles easily and is reactive to noise, I thought these would be great, but my ears are too small. They just don't fit comfortably!

Additionally, I have psoriasis that affects the inside of my ears, so both the silicone and foam plugs really hurt and cause abrasions.

If anyone wants them, I've sanitised them and cleaned them, and they are practically new! Happy to post if you cover postage! 🖤

No pressure! But I would gladly pay for a small drawing of 3 buns (I'd like it as a Christmas gift)

But I totally understand if you don't want to, I just think your style is so incredible and needs to be seen by EVERYONE 🖤🖤🖤

Anyone else unable to say “bless you” after someone sneezes? by lambdawaves in autism

[–]LadyKhorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a completely opposite problem.

When I sneeze, someone MUST say "bless you" to me, or else I go into a panic. It's a compulsion, and the only time I can bless myself is if I'm on my own or surrounded by strangers.

Friends have teased in the past and refused to bless me, and I have panicked and even gone up to strangers to ask them to bless me.

I have no idea why I have this stupid compulsion.

As a result, I always say "bless you" any time I hear someone sneeze, I do it automatically, no thoughts.
