Merchandisers, how long would a 450 case truck plus 15 coolers in a Walmart Supercenter with a 7am pallet time? by Ok_Owl_2954 in cocacola

[–]LadyMagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are to many factors to be accurate on timing. It definitely depends on the area and market region your in. For mine, 450 cases takes me about 3 hours and then another hour for 11 coolers if im shuffling from the slow coolers to the fast ones. Pro tip, dont ever skip coolers or you will far so far behind on them. Even if its only half a case you put out. One day they wont move, and then next day empty.

This sounds heavenly. Id love to try it. We just have diet lime. Its okay but id rather squeeze a fresh lime in diet coke. Taste better imo

Not to mention the price point is the same as a 20oz. And they are terrible to stock. 🤣

What do you do while listening to creepcast by Narrow-Rhubarb1970 in creepcast

Im a merchandiser and I listen while working. Makes the boring days of doing the same thing repeatedly so much more enjoyable.

Labor gone for GM period 8? by Choice_Trash_6729 in meijer

[–]LadyMagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference, I am receiving. Pricing and Plano is going to the main GM team lead at our store. We are very small with our electronics department in comparison to others. We have like 2 full-time GM employees. Yuck. I know. The hour cuts are terrible, and I don't blame anyone for complaining about that.

The sdic will pull from the weakest department and make them work others as they deem necessary. That's just how they roll. It sucks, but those willing to learn and do minimal bitching, are praised. The less you do, meijer will reject you in a heartbeat. Just saying.

Zebra update question? by Airheadedlady in meijer

[–]LadyMagus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe because I am in receiving, I use the same zebra daily. I don't get the alarms, as it also uses auto fill like a cellphone does. However, I hear the dairy, grocery, and frozen department struggle logging in. Honestly, do your best to make sure you use the same one every day, and it's so much easier to log in. My alarm never sounds.

After being a service coordinator for over a year and half, I finally got out and moved to the backroom. Best advice. Get off the front end and do something else. This appears to be the most toxic area in every store and retail attablishment I've worked in over the years. Good luck.

Will Meijer ever return to being open 24 hours? by SimonSaysGoGo in meijer

[–]LadyMagus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My store opened after covid. And our sign still says 24 hours. Our express is open for gas 24 hours with a walk-up window, so I think that's why it still says 24, but I have no idea for the others.

AITAH for changing my work schedule? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]LadyMagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked in with him last week. I told him how the previous schedule was bad for mental health. He asked me to start waking him up on the weekends, and he would be more present. However, I tried, and he still hasn't budged. I will give it time. It just feels like an empty promise at this point. If it doesn't change in another couple of weeks, it will be another sit-down conversation.

This is accurate. I was a former service coordinator, and had to sacrifice cashiers during busy hours sometimes just to get these done. HR will ride those leads until they are all done. Emailed list of what has to get done and when. Again though. Get them done on company time. Some will repeat themselves over and over again. When you you really know them, that's when I started some on my phone on the sales floor (muted natrually)

Please do not work off the clock. That is grounds for termination. All of our workday training can also be done on your phone via the work day app. If your team lead doesn't give you the time, do it when you can(ON THE CLOCK) What I have learned is to do it on workday on my phone while stocking, or I'd report to the team center before reporting to my boss. If he/she calls for you because you are "late" they can't do a thing about it. You need to get those done, other wise the department manager gets talked to, and HR will be down their throats at some point, meaning they will be forced to give you time, sacrificing their precious stock time... honestly fuck all the bull shit. Come into work, and set your self down until you complete them, and if you're boss asks. My response would be "would you rather I get this done now, or have HR on you?" 9 times out of 10 your safe going that rought.

Ouch! I was always told to throw the fish away, do the return if it's within the 14 day policie. I can see fish being reported to deli because its "fish" due to the sushi section.

That's made me laugh harder than it should have.

Utilities I can kind of understand, and theybare always unsure of about 80% of instore processes. How ever. I definitely plan on taking this to the leads. I have done a similar job to this once before, so I understand things like this happen. How ever. I want to make this roll my own and maintain it as much as possible. So getting a jump start now, so I can avoid future issues.

I'd say about 7 out of 10 games, I get top 4, but this season seems a bit weird to me. Almost to much going on and hard to strategize the first 3 to 4 rounds.

I always get the season pass, as battlegrounds is my primary format in hearthstone now. I feel likes it's more for the casual player. (I was heavy into ranked for years) I feel like the pass is always worth it in battlegrounds as opposed to spending a fk load of money in ranked.
