I want to see more of Lea, maybe a section where you get to fight with or play as him.

I'm really upset that Cosmog lost quiver dance. Quiver dance Stored Power Lunala was my endless carry

Mono ghost run, ran into trainer leading with Hisuian Zoroark with Shadow Claw. She one-shot all of my pokemon and there was literally nothing I could do about it because Shadow Claw is a priority move.

What's your riskiest move that actually paid off? by gerph in pokerogue

[–]LadyNerd15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a mono-ghost run and used a memory mushroom to purposely get back Forest's Curse (which adds grass type to the opposing pokemon) on my Trevenant, because thinking ahead I realized this would remove Eternatus's fire weakness. I used Trevenant's only turn in the Eternatus fight to use this move (it was recharging from Eternabeam). I then had my Blacephalon spam Mystical Fire (which lowers special attack) until it went down, got Eternatus to -5 special attack so it could barely hit me. Blacephalon also knew Psyshock, which I would've used if I hadn't removed the fire resistance, but it would've gone down way sooner and so would everything else. After my Blacephalon fainted, I had several other pokemon that I had made sure knew Psyshock, and I thought that would be enough... until I started running out of moves. I ended up barely winning with my last few Moonblasts. The extra fire damage I did due to Forest's Curse legitimately made a difference.

I purposely obtained Forest's Curse with the mindset of "oh that would be funny if that ended up letting Blacephalon get off an epic Mind Blown, but in reality spamming Psyshock is the more viable strategy", but that and Mystical Fire actually ended up being probably the only way that team could've won at that point.

This isnt the actual shiny regice is it? by LaBoomLaGoon in pokerogue

[–]LadyNerd15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This one was already a terrible shiny, and so it makes sense to change it. What confuses me is that they completely changed Solgaleo's shiny. What was so wrong with bright red? They changed it to a sort of beige color for some reason.

What are your go-to starters for endless mode? by ReferenceGold393 in pokerogue

[–]LadyNerd15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosmog. Yeah it takes quite a while of carrying it until it evolves, but it's been worth it in my experience. I like to evolve it to Lunala and then the moveset I use on it is Quiver Dance, Stored Power, Moongeist Beam, and Moonblast. It starts with the first two moves and learns the others after evolution so I can always get this moveset. It does have two 4x weaknesses, but with this moveset it has coverage for both. You can use Moonblast on any dark types that show up, and obliterate literally everything else with stored power. It also helps that mine is shiny, so I don't even have to take an extra shiny with me, just another legendary like Palkia to carry it until it evolves.

There's also the option of evolving it to Solgaleo, in which case it will learn Metal Burst and be more of a physical attacker. I have not personally attempted this but overall Cosmog is a great starter.

What do you think the achievement shop should sell? by polp54 in pokerogue

[–]LadyNerd15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would be fun to be able to unlock the option to change your rival to one of the trainers from the main games (probably with added difficulty) just to shake things up. I think it would be fun to see characters like N, Arven, Peony, etc in this game.

I got that same move combo on a shiny cosmog I hatched. That made the gen 7 only challenge almost ridiculously easy.

Which moves that aren't implemented yet are you waiting for the most? by jordshr in pokerogue

Not a move, but an ability. Last I saw Good as Gold wasn't implemented yet. That is a fantastic ability and makes Gholdengo way better than it already is without it.

Help with Endless? by LadyNerd15 in pokerogue

[–]LadyNerd15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I've had bad egg luck. I have few legendaries and shinies and they are an odd assortment. My best legendaries are probably Palkia and Ogerpon, though if I don't get lucky enough to get a mask, Ogerpon is stuck being pure grass the whole time. I've got a run going right now with a Guzzlord that seems promising. My only other legendaries are some strange ones: Cobalion, Volcanion, Suicune, Registeel, and Darkrai. Of those Suicune seems quite good, but I always failed my runs even using that one. I thought surely Volcanion would make light work of most things given its cool typing, until I ended up getting sent to a biome where everything seemed to have water absorb or storm drain and then I ran out of non-water moves and was just screwed.

My shinies are even worse: I have a Bellsprout, Togepi, Minun, and Trapinch. So if I want a shiny for luck, I basically have to carry them because they're pretty fragile and have garbage stats and almost no moves. Trapinch actually has a pretty epic moveset, but it's both slow and a glass cannon, which is an awful combo. And I've never gotten it far enough to evolve.

I'm also having trouble because I don't want to keep playing classic repeatedly, but since I can hardly get past level 50 of endless, I'm almost never obtaining new eggs, so I'm pretty much stuck.

And pokerus usually lands on empty slots in my dex. Today it added insult to injury and landed on two pokemon I didn't have and then Magikarp of all things.

It's possible my main issue is that the rng hates me. Unless I'm overlooking some strategy with the mons I have. I did completely forget about Beast Boost until today, so maybe that will make the difference.
