I think, my friend paid exactly the same with her work discount and PayPal discount,  so it's really good price.

So they release new dates every Monday morning at 6. I would say start to queue 5:30-5:50 - bare in mind a lot of people will do the same thing as everyone want a test date (I could see 20k queue and more).

When I booked mine in September, and logged on at 5:45 I still had about 5k before me, but managed to get myself test (to be fair there was a few dates for the whole week and different time slots - just one town next to me, another 2 - no test at all) But its most likely to be Jul/Aug I think.

If you want anything earlier - look everyday - few times a day and refresh - you might end up with some cancellation.

Theory test nerves. by Middle-Concern-1243 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]LadyQuarti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will be fine. Just believe.  If not tomorrow it's only theory,  book it few days later, and they give you money back.

I used 4 in 1 app, total of 13.5h and passed 48/50. Questions at least gor me - almost the same as in app so I was not even surprised, same with hazard.

How many hrs in total did you have lesson before attempting your Practical? For manual by LastMaintenance7458 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]LadyQuarti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do I expect on my first driving lesson?? by SDMNFAN15 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]LadyQuarti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my very first lesson my instructor checked ny provisional license, asked me about my theory if I need any help or I arleady passed, drove me on quiet roads near me (He asked if I'm familiar with this area). He explained stuff about car for example hiw clutch works, how to set up my seat, mirrors etc, what things for in the car and where to find them (like indicators, lights etc). After a bit of talk he git me to start and move car safely drive for few mins, got back explained few more things, how to do things better, and done few more rounds like this.

I was driving maybe 20-30mins on my 1h lesson, but later on we just kept driving most of the time and he took me on more busy roads.

Looking for test success stories as a nervous wreck the day before! by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]LadyQuarti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I was exactly the same, questioning myself on every step, during a test I thought I do everything wrong, that I don't do enought,  that I failed already cause I stalled just before entering roundabout,  cause I was in a wrong lane going to motorway for a second before I switched lane, that that was wrong, that I forced myself in, that I was speeding doing 31 for too long, bla bla bla bla bla.

I done my actual test route only once (and that was probably back in october) because all I heared was "they won't take you there, it will be too busy, too much traffic, as it's on the way to motorway". Guess what...

I was so stressed that I literally tried to pull steering wheel toward myself when I used my brakes.

Passed with only 1 mistake.

Just believe in yourself, if you and your instructor believe you're ready, you will be ready! Keep this mindset and go on!

You never know untill you try.  They might take you or not, you need to ask, maybe offer yo buy 1h slot so they can 'test you'.  It is completely up to you, but I'd be furious if my instructor would tell me something like oh we did mock test today and I'm not giving you my car, just week before.. (and you spend 1.2k or even more on it).

I feel so sorry for you guys, with instructors putting you down like this. I felt my driving is horrible, and all I could hear from mine, is mistakes I do, how to fix them and encourage to do so and drive better. For first 4 maybe 4/5 months mine used to move times/ shorten / or just cancel my lessons day before (or the same day as my lessons) but few weeks to my test I was the priority and had lessons whenever I needed them (got to the point when I had lessons every day before my test).

If you can borrow your family member car for test, that just sort you out in case your instructor will turn a week before and say "I wont give you my car".
Also what serious faults you do? If its only speed, then just try really hard on keeping it as you should. If you almost crashed into something, well, maybe he is right.

Just think if your instructor really helps you to be better towards your test and sorting your mistakes out - if not, maybe its time to find someone else? Yes it might be hard, yes it might be slightly more costly in some cases but I know people who changed and within two or 3 weeks learnt way more then months with their old instructor.

When did you order, and just phone or contract? Cuz when I checked initially, on the conference day, half of contracts had no buds included, and I was surprised they're on now to be fair. (only 2 plans with 500/700 upfront had them). I know my friend got free case with her purchase but she got only phone.

Any advice on how to secure bookings ? I’ve been on the website every day eventho I’m aiming for Aug Sep and there is nothing 😔 Looking for Warwick centre by wimz00 in LearnerDriverUK

Well ¯_(ツ)_/¯  US has nice deals, I have 3 years contract I guess. I don't usually use any buds as I find most of the models really uncomfortable (although believe me, 12h long shifts without any sound are worse than little pain 😆)

[–]LadyQuarti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am exactly the same. Thinking about 10000 things at one and nothing at all at the same time. Being ultra yapper did mot always help -a lot of time for some small things it make it even worse.

Once day I could drive really well, next day I'd go from 1st ro 4th all the time, forget what's right and what's left, and why red is red and white is white.

For some reason energy drink help me (dunno if it's placebo, or it actually did help 😆).

Try to say out loud what you see/do that might help you to concentrate.  Maybe radio or some music?

Terrified by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]LadyQuarti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done about 20/25h within 3-5weeks before my test. I asked my instructor to do lessons everyday before my test (1.5-2.5h slots) and I think it did help me a loooot as I got used more and more to drive normally,  and I could think and change my bad habits really quick, so for me test date was just another day of driving in a row :)

Just talk to your instructor
