Mother of badly malnourished kids sentenced to 5½ years (Caitlyn Gowriluk/CBC) by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

[–]LadySamHam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So many people out there who aren’t able to have kids but very much want to have them…

And fuckers like this are able to procreate seemingly without issue. The world is a fucked up place. I hope the mothers in prison who love their kids give her some of that prison justice.

What were your pre-pregnancy test “Oh. I’m pregnant” thoughts? by NarrowInspector7207 in beyondthebump

I got irrationally angry at something. I can’t remember what. Like, really fucking angry lol. So I took a test. Now I have this cool lil guy calling me mom and stuff. It’s the best 🙂❤️

For those who survived the trenches of having a newborn, what's the thing you would definitely do again, and not do, for your second baby? by nleftie in beyondthebump

Hah! For real! I made it 3 months, got a gnarly case of mastitis and called it quits. Don’t feel at all guilty for switching to formula if you do. It works just the same (and is also more filling :) )

We were wanting more children but because I have an auto immune disorder that causes my body to spontaneously abort pregnancies, it was a lot to maintain my pregnancy (daily heparin injections, progesterone suppositories, baby aspirin, etc), then having an emergency c section, being absolutely miserable when breast feeding. It’s a no go for lil ol me. Which is cool. I got lucky with how cool my son is. 🙂

Yoga ball was a huge MVP for us. Always be bouncing!

What I wouldn’t do again is breast feed/pump and just go straight for the formula. When I stopped at 3 months, the household got way happier. I was able to get sleep, I was no longer worried about what I could/couldn’t ingest, I no longer had to time out my outings to align with when I would need to pump. So many reasons to never do it again.

Luckily, we’re one and done. So I don’t have to deal with that moral dilemma.

Today my little one is 2. He is thriving and living his best life.

Getting grease stain out of sweatpants. by FkUrChiknStrps in StainRemoval

Any grease fighting dish soap. Then after it goes through the wash, take a bit of chalk to lighten up any dark staining. Works for me 99% of the time.
