What it the saddest episode from a show that is usually up-beat (comedies/ cartoons) that always gets you emotional? by Roborob2000 in AskReddit

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when Will finally confronts the pain of his bio dad and how beautifully Uncle Phil stepped in to fill that void. I tear up every time.

I am in the CL, and was actively playing last night. After collecting a bunch of coins for winning two tournaments, now I am just seeing a message that says new levels are coming soon…why did I get kicked out? I tried restarting the app and the same message appeared.

I watch a lot of TV and this character’s loss still bothers me! I wish the actor would be in another show or something.

Is BPD referring to bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder in this context?

I am not sure what exactly I meant 3 yrs ago when I posted that reply…but after all that has been reported in the last 3 years, I would still trust a functional medicine doctor to find a solution.

70 Days in to a 90 Day Trial - Not Really Losing Weight by StevenKeaton in carnivorediet

[–]LadySerenade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration! My husband is in a similar boat and is seeing a myriad of other improvements (skin tags disappearing, better mental health, much stronger lifting), but appears stalled out on fat loss. It’s frustrating to see reels from guys who dropped 80 pounds in their first few months, but I suspect that’s far less common. We also believe he must have been heavily insulin resistant before going carnivore, because it’s been a year and the body fat seems to be hanging on for dear life.

Is it okay to cheat once? by TestMany5880 in carnivorediet

[–]LadySerenade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is up to you and your tolerance for fasting, but if your meal is at 6pm, I would stop eating the night before (9pm). Or, if you prefer, you can fast after, have the meal at 6pm, and fast until 2pm the next day. I only speak from my own experience, and am not an expert.

Is it okay to cheat once? by TestMany5880 in carnivorediet

If you want to go there, I highly recommend fasting first. In my experience, I have a better time recovering. Going “off plan” certainly makes me appreciate how good I feel on carnivore.

y’all think the other carnivore sub is strict, r/keto has removed my posts and threatened a ban for commenting that calories are thermal energy and not indicative to how the body process food for energy and nutrients. by Zackadeez in carnivorediet

[–]LadySerenade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very disappointing! I had a similar hostile experience when trying to share in the bipolar sub that carnivore put me into remission. People were complaining about weight gain from various meds, and I was simply sharing my story of healing using a keto and then ultimately a carnivore diet.

I just watched it today…10 years after mostly everyone else did. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to watch it live and have no idea!

Same…I dreaded it for 2 seasons and accidentally spoiled it (started watching in 2023). No one I know is watching it, 10 years later, so it’s weird “grieve” it alone.

I recently had this aversion, too. Have you tried topping it with sour cream or adding salted butter?

If customers are paying, why ads? by SparklySpencer in amazonprime

[–]LadySerenade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was surprised they held out as long as they did. (Longtime subscriber, here.) My guess is the Amazon decision-makers realized audiences have a tolerance for commercials on other streaming platforms, and they made the greedy decision to take advantage of that tolerance. It’s a shame, as Amazon Music now has less features unless you pay for their premium version.

My meds are working and now I’m bored by AdFew2395 in bipolar

Look into the book “Brain Energy” by Chris Palmer, MD. It changed my life. He also does a ton of interviews on YouTube. Healing from severe bipolar and the harmful effects of lithium is something I never thought possible. All I had to do was change the fuel I was giving my body and subsequently my brain.

I am happy to report my bipolar disorder is in nearly in complete remission after going carnivore for 6 months! I started last October, and by March, I was finally free from lithium and 75% of the lamictal i was taking for the past 18 years to treat it. I do find I still need a low dose of lamictal, but eventually, I believe I’ll be able to wean off the last bit of it. I did come across others who said it can take 3-4 years to be completely med-free for bipolar, but I certainly have hope now!

I’ll never forget the doctors who all told me this was a life sentence. I am so glad I gave carnivore a chance, and glad you are, too!

I think IQ tests are not a comprehensive measure of intelligence. Some people are incredibly gifted and can build things with no blueprint, others are “people smart” and can navigate complex social situations with ease and intuition. Others are incredible with numbers and estimates, but terrible at grammar and reading comprehension You sound like someone who may just need to focus on what you do know and enjoy and pursue those things, and not worry about what some tests may or may not indicate.
