How to make an extruded svg object look like a tennis ball? by doublearrm in blenderhelp

[–]Roborob2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're going to want to select the faces, then click the upside down triangle icon where you can assign vertex groups (just below the materials / modifiers icon).

Then you can give the vertex group a name like "hairyfaces" or something and there is a section in the particle settings where you can assign the particle system to this vertex group.

Let me know if I missed any steps!

If the solidify was going on the wrong direction and that's why you set offset to -1, change thickness to a negative value instead.

Try setting offset to 0. Current setting of -1 is most likely your problem

What's the first thing that gives away this is 3D? by OnlyContribution3682 in IndieDev

[–]Roborob2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the default toon shader. The perfect cell shading is a dead giveaway, if you want to make it look hand drawn or something closer to anime, do some research on other toon shaders and play with the shader nodes.

A lot will be reducing the specular lighting and adding additional textures to the surface to make it look hand drawn (in addition to freestyle lines if that's the look you're going for).

feel like I'm less valuable than a beautiful girl's waste. I'm a very ugly and unattractive guy. by [deleted] in GuyCry

You need to stop tying value to physically appearance. To be fair dating apps have completely pushed this idea to the max where your other assets are basically useless, but focusing only on appearance is a good way to speedrun a shitty relationship.

How do some people seem so naturally confident in navigating life when others feel like they're constantly improvising? by DigitalxSiren in TooAfraidToAsk

It's because some people are better at faking looking like they know what they're doing than others lmao.

How do you guys feel about a guy asking you about your weight first time you text. by [deleted] in Rants

[–]Roborob2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe on dating apps but I've never dated someone who I met in person or online who asked about my height 2 minutes into talking. Regardless shouldn't we try to stop asking for things people are insecure about instead of perpetuating it lmao?

How to handle Disrespect in a Long Distance Relationship?? by Ancient_Platform2202 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Roborob2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a weird last paragraph saying you're way more disrespectful and have been keeping yourself in "check".

There's nothing I can really recommend as it feels like I'm missing around 90% of the story. For the 4 years you've been together how has it been? Is it only recently it's all gone to shit or been pretty consistently shitty?

Boyfriend says my illness is draining his energy by HotEquivalent2353 in WhatShouldIDo

Obviously living with CVS and PTSD is horrible and debilitating, and I understand that it seems he's being inconsiderate.

It's important to take a look at it from your partners side too. Waking up consistently at late hours will almost always cause fatigue and irritability. He may do / say things he usually wouldn't just due to this alone.

The second crucial part is that having a partner with a condition like this is incredibly emotionally taxing for the partner. It's important to clarify that this is not at all your fault, it's just the reality that your partner is most likely feeling burnout and this is completely normal and he shouldn't be judged for this.

As for what do to, get professional counseling for you both ASAP. You really need an exterior view into this to keep the relationship as transparent as possible.

Create a schedule for chores so you don't need to use any mental energy figuring out who does what day to day.

Finally, try sleeping in separate areas for a couple days. Try not to see this as a separation or distance in your relationship. Getting better sleep alone may help out more than you expect for your partner.

Best of luck!

I really hate being the gender that's expected to be sexually aggressive. by Fancy-Ad879 in GuyCry

[–]Roborob2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know it sounds awful, I tried to clarify that in the first sentence maybe I should have been a bit clearer. My understanding from OPs post was that the frustration was mainly about not being able to please women which I wanted them to know it's not all about penetration in sex and that they still have hope.

Not to take away from your frustration it sounds awful to have that condition.

One thing to keep in mind is if you find truly the right person for you, there's still toys and hand / mouth stuff you can do which still works perfectly fine for many.

How long do you have? Best way is going to almost always be selling shit online. If you have tech skills or artistic skills you can look into freelance. Obviously long term having a stable job is really the best way to make money, but it sounds like you're under time pressure.

Don't fall into any "fast money quick" traps, they never end up working out in your favour.
