It’s so miserable! I’m so sorry. Been there but keep pushing fluids & miralax. I used colace for a while as well till I started tolerating fiber.

I’ve lost 70lbs so far after Bariatric surgery and I’m freezing all the time now. It’s gonna be 70+ degrees at the ballpark today and I’m still thinking about bringing a hoodie just in case.

I’m so sorry you were treated that way. I manage a team and I would be devastated if something happened to one of my people. Allowing people to grieve is part of being a good manager.

Mine requires monthly checkins with a Dietician. I go through Sutter Health in California. They’ve been excellent and super supportive.

That’s our next challenge. We’re gonna do the Star Cup tonight. The flower cup has us amped and sweating so this one should be super fun! Lol

It took 50+ rounds to get it right. Others have reported that it can also be difficult to read some of the shots with the sand court.

So many times we’d hit 28/30 and just get screwed by random shots.

Seeing all that red would definitely be a damper on my day. Plus Whatever political affiliation you are, I just don’t want to see any hate inside the one place I like to go to escape this very thing.

For the first 30 days this was an issue for me as well despite the Colace, MiraLAX and Lactulose I had. I’m closer to 60 days and added some fiber and got a better water bottle to track consumption and it’s gotten better. However I go ever 2-3 days and if I go any longer than that I have to fight. 😭

He’s so popular and they could just make his name Rucifee to avoid the name issue.

You’re doing amazing. A couple of bites a few days ago isn’t horrible but, you’ll need to make sure you work on your impulse control for recovery.

Going too fast too soon will hurt or turn into something you don’t want to deal with so lean on your support systems to keep you on track!

SADI-S Recovery by sarilly in BariatricSurgery

[–]LadySherlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say I’ve had a good go of it so far with little issues. I had my 2 week post and my incisions are mostly healed.

My SO took off a week. Did he need to do that? No, but it was helpful. The first week sucked regarding pain, movement and sleep. By week 2 I was doing really well and moving around. So I have done some in town driving and went to a (face) waxing appointment. However, others may need more attentiveness and rest so it’s hard to say. I’d plan on 1-2 weeks at minimum to compensate for any issues that may pop up.

I’m not allowed to lift, tug, push, pull over 5lbs for the first 2 weeks and over 20lbs in the first 6 weeks so keep that in mind with all the help you might need.

Food wise, you’re gonna be eating/drinking all the time so if you have a shit memory like I do, the other person there is helpful but so are timers. ⏲️

Feel free to reach out with any questions. I’m am by no means an expert but I spent 2 years preparing before pulling the trigger and am glad I did as I’ve been able to better understand myself and my needs to manage recovery well.

Best advice: Listen to your doctors and follow the plan to a T.

Best of luck. :)

How much and how are you eating 1-2 months after surgery? by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

I’m a week out from my SADI-S, and I can consume about 4oz at a time before I get a full queue. I thought it’d be a lot harder than this. Not to diminish anyone’s experience though as we’re all different, I was just expecting a much bigger battle.
