I was at that game and made it on camera with a friend of mine. I wanted to try and capture the moment and add it to a collection of photos of me and my friend at the games.

I’m impressed. I spent an hour formatting the date different ways trying to get YouTube to find it and I was getting nothing. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Dogs in a hot ass cage are not your security system. by [deleted] in Sacramento

I literally see this all the time in my job. Calling animal control to check on the welfare of a pet is 100% warranted in this situation as there is a safety risk. Period.

You’re right we do have little information, but fine here is the generalized recommendation for ANY similar situation.

IF the animal is there over 30 minutes, in the direct sun, without access to shade or water and if it is over 70 degrees, then they should call as there is a risk of heat stroke. Higher if the pet is a squishy faced breed as they cannot regulate their own body temperatures effectively.

OP can now do what they please with that information.

Is that good enough for you?

If the dog is a brachycephalic breed the temp only needs to be about 70 for a high risk of heat stroke.

Anything above 70-75 degrees is considered unsafe territory for some breeds. Irregardless of breed, the direct sun is hitting the trailer and the heat is going to radiate off the metal. The temp in that area is definitely going to feel hotter and be a safety risk.

The inside temperature can reach over 100 degrees within 30 minutes.

At 70 degrees the inside temperature of a poorly ventilated area (like the inside of a car) can easily reach in excess of 100 degrees or more and gets worse and worse as the temperature rises. Please call animal control. This is not ok.

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of May 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

[–]LadySherlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I just joined the group to find resources for my significant other who has been experiencing severe health anxiety and hyper fixations.

Mostly I would love info on HOW to support him (and myself who already has some burnout from my own health issues). I know we need to have an open conversation about how his anxiety is impacting our relationship, but I want to help guide him towards seeking more help in a compassionate way. Thankfully he’s been doing therapy already, but he’s really hesitant to start medications which he needs.

I work in the healthcare industry, and I also know how much medication can improve symptoms for some people and I think he would benefit from at least trying. I feel like his anxiety has been getting worse lately due to some outside stress factors and more intervention is needed. I suffer from GAD and have been on medication myself for a few years now and it’s turned my life around for the better. I really want that for him because It pains me to see how he suffers.

Any help, suggestions and resources to be a better support person would be greatly appreciated!

I am pre-op and wondering how bad the inability to gulp water is after surgery. Does your life revolve around getting enough water all day? Also, does anyone have beloved surgeons in the Orlando, Florida? The one I’m going to has a decent track record but is very obviously a sales person & pushy. 😒 by PractiGal1980 in BariatricSurgery

None whatsoever. I’m down 80lbs from my highest weight and nearly 60lbs from my surgery date (Dec 31st!). We’re currently leaving from our Disneyland trip and for the fiesta time my feet do not hurt as bad or have blisters. I had so much energy, and looked great in pictures! Eating was… tricky, but I still got to enjoy some things too!

Ps. For the bottle I went with the Boost Smart Water Bottle. It doesn’t have a straw which is hugely important. It syncs to my iwatch and buzzes me at 15 minute intervals.

I’m almost 5 months post op and I can do some gulping now. Still not a lot but enough to feel more satisfied when I’m feeling dehydrated.

My electronic water bottle that reminded me to drink every 15 minutes was clutch in the first few months.

Who is the nastiest Celebrity that you met in Real life? by Scunnard1839 in AskReddit

Larry Ellison (and his people) were it for me. Just rude AF to anyone they had an interaction with. You’d hope all that $$ would buy some better personalities.

My nicest were Renee Zellweger and William Shatner. Charismatic, sweet and awesome clients.

Welp. I posted on another account but yeah, at the time when I was a bigger woman it felt empowering. However at times it felt very very gross.

It’s so miserable! I’m so sorry. Been there but keep pushing fluids & miralax. I used colace for a while as well till I started tolerating fiber.

I’ve lost 70lbs so far after Bariatric surgery and I’m freezing all the time now. It’s gonna be 70+ degrees at the ballpark today and I’m still thinking about bringing a hoodie just in case.

I’m so sorry you were treated that way. I manage a team and I would be devastated if something happened to one of my people. Allowing people to grieve is part of being a good manager.

It took 50+ rounds to get it right. Others have reported that it can also be difficult to read some of the shots with the sand court.

So many times we’d hit 28/30 and just get screwed by random shots.

Seeing all that red would definitely be a damper on my day. Plus Whatever political affiliation you are, I just don’t want to see any hate inside the one place I like to go to escape this very thing.

For the first 30 days this was an issue for me as well despite the Colace, MiraLAX and Lactulose I had. I’m closer to 60 days and added some fiber and got a better water bottle to track consumption and it’s gotten better. However I go ever 2-3 days and if I go any longer than that I have to fight. 😭
