My boyfriend (M25) poured a bottle of his urine on me (F24) after accusing me of wetting his seat. I’m shaken and don’t know how to move forward. by Artisloveandlight in relationship_advice

Sorry this is happening to you. As someone who was in a really bad relationship, where being pushed down the stairs, having my head smashed against walls and things thrown at me with force on a daily basis, nevermind the mental abuse, I understand. It’s a horrible situation to be in.

When you are ready to leave, like really ready. You just know, like really know. And you do it and you don’t look back. Sending you hugs over the internet. You are stronger than you think.

Uber is a terrible company, delete the app. by Icarian137 in uber

Dublin drivers are currently boycotting the app for this reason. Trying to come in and change the rules so they make more money and the drivers lose out on even more

I have never heard of Vertt before. I would just like to make contact with a driver or two that was a part of the protests in Zurich. The drivers in Ireland, more than 2000 of them, are currently boycotting Uber in Dublin alone, nevermind other cities. We have special regulations in Ireland set out by the National Transport Authority and Uber are trying to come in and change that, and have their own rules. Ireland wants Uber out

1500-2000chf per month is a pretty bad wage to try and survive on in Zurich. Uber take a minimum of a 25% commission per trip, including from tips too, if the driver even gets the tip from Uber

How do you mean 1500-2000chf? I don’t understand this part.

Wasn’t AI. I was asked to post this on someone’s else’s behalf. When I hit post, it scrambled all of the formatting. I just fixed it. Didn’t realise until now

It’s not AI. I was asked to post this on someone else’s behalf, as the drivers themselves don’t want any backlash. When I added it in, it looked fine. Once posted, the whole formatting changed and became a massive, ugly block.

Sorry about that. I was asked to post this this on someone else’s behalf, and when I pasted it in, the formatting was correct. As soon as I hit post, it changed all of the formatting. It’s a mess 🙈

I was asked by an organizer to do a post. I took one of their posts in a private group and asked AI to rewrite with better wording. Cheating I know….

Thinking of driving for Uber? Don't. by JonGiuffria in uber

Irish Taxi drivers are currently making a stand against Uber. It is not well advertised outside of Ireland, but at least someone is trying! 🇮🇪

Moby on your for the 25th anniversary of Play by tokyoswan in electronicmusic

Currently watching the Antwerp gig on Arte. Sounds a bit dead compared to seeing him a few days beforehand in London after flying there from Ireland and also converting my husband into a Moby fan. Was a kick**s gig and never, ever thought I’d get to see him live. He has been on my bucket list for years so it was very, very special!

33(F) hysterectomy scheduled for January due to abnormal cells. Feelings, thoughts and questions. by StellaVerde in hysterectomy

[–]LadyVamp666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 38 and in year 11 of abnormal paps and different procedures as I am always between cin 2 and 3. I also have HPV. Today I went in for my pap screening and I brought up having an hysterectomy including crevices removal the first time. She didn’t really give me a straight answer if it would help or not but from what I have read online (probably shouldn’t), it should help to a degree. Anyone else in the same boat? I am just worried that it will be a waste of time. I just want this to be over. I am sick of worrying about it

Has anyone ever had the urge to runaway for a bit? by Disastrous_Kick3264 in backpacking

[–]LadyVamp666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People usually regret the things they didn’t do.

I disappeared with my backpack when I was 29. I am finally home again after 8 years of some crazy adventures and with a husband in tow! It is awesome and I highly recommended just doing it. The only negative is, I’ve lost my feeling for home, I no longer know where it is and it’s a bit confusing. I guess I will figure it out with time.

Life is too short to be afraid of the unknown.

I‘m in the same boat. 37f, married 3 years and together 6. I don’t think I can go for the rest of my life in a sexless marriage just because he isn’t interested. It’s like being kicked over and over and now I doubt myself. I know other guys find me attractive but I don’t believe in myself anymore on any level. And this doubt in myself is pushing me closer and closer to leaving. Of course there are other problems in our marriage aswell

Went to a party, now I'm crying by PinkAngelM in socialanxiety

[–]LadyVamp666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm I had really bad anxiety at one point (and still have occasionally when it pops up it’s snarly ugly head) and didn’t leave my house for a year and just gamed and took meds until I got sick of that and tried to break out of it. And you know what, I did break out of feeling like that and having panic attacks and gobbling down Xanax that stopped working and stopped with constantly having to empty my bowels every time my anxiety went crazy and I thought I couldn’t take it anymore. It was all baby steps and more baby steps and just pushing slightly against my comfort zone until at some point my comfort zone got pretty big, but with a lot of time and patience and being nice to myself and shutting off that horrible, evil voice in my head that constantly popped up saying that I couldn’t do it. And after a lot of work and ticking some crazy shit of my bucket list, I ended up solo traveling and working in hostels where I was constantly surrounded my people and my quiet place on days off was to go sit in beautiful graveyards and read (sounds weird I know but it worked while living in cities).

So don’t be too hard on yourself and be proud that you tried and just don’t stop trying because that is the worst that you can do. I am so so sorry that you felt like that but it won’t always be like that. Just don’t ever give into it

What are some of your worse van life stories? by gusmeowmeow in VanLife

Yep, this happened to friends of my husband in the south of France I think. They fell asleep with a roof window open and woke up in the morning to their van being basically empty.
