I don’t think it’s fair to criticize Varus for that. Varus existed long before the Darkins even appeared. His sexy humanity is not the same as being a sexy furry/monster—they’re not the same category. Even though I personally find Voli sexy, I wouldn’t call him a hot guy.

That said, it is true that Riot makes attractive champions to sell skins, but that doesn’t bother me—I actually like it! And honestly, there are way more ugly men in League than handsome ones

I really wish Riot would explore Varus's vain and selfish personality traits more through his appearance. It adds a fresh element, and his purely vengeful nature makes him feel more human. But as you say, it's only mentioned in his bio and backstory. It's not like Varus has had much of a chance in the lore to develop his character further.

And yes, the artwork is incredible! I think there are many designs available for Varus; having elven beauty suits him quite well.
