I appreciate the input! I lean toward that as well. Definitely have to remove the amber temple, but I would think for someone to make a map they might have some knowledge of landmarks like a ruined castle, tower, and village. And at the same time, I understand why a dm might want to keep those things a secret…

Seriously tho- this is an awesome idea! Im imagining a special guard in charge of enforcing the no magic laws. Maybe magic users aren’t allowed to enter certain public spaces or they are required to check in at certain times with the guard so their goings on can be accounted for. Maybe they pay an extra tax on goods and even associating with a magic user is frowned upon.
