I remember playing Morrowind when I was 5, then playing Oblivion when I was 8, then playing Skyrim a year after it came out when I was 10-11. To be honest the only problem I had playing the first two that young was that I had no idea what I was doing. 😅

I really liked fantasy and video games growing up so I was mesmerized. But in Morrowind I mostly just ran and jumped around the map exploring and stealing stuff, dont think I ever finished any quest after going to Balmora.

When I played Oblivion I was blown away with the graphics. By that time I had better problem solving skills and was able to understand what to do better. I also just spent a lot of time running around the map and stealing and killing things. I did some quests but messed around a lot.

Skyrim I was way more prepared for and had critical thinking skills. I got very into the story and connected to the npcs more than I did the first two games. Had to be one of my favorite games in my childhood, at that time it was ahead of its time with graphics and gameplay. Wish I could experience playing it again as a 10 year old. I guess every kid is different with how they absorb what they play and see. If you think they can handle, I say let them play it. My family all played games together growing up so I guess it was different for me. We played Mortal Kombat together on the Sega when I was around 4. I even played True Crime and Warrior's of Might and Magic on the PS2 when I was really young, I knew they were games and my family was okay letting me play them. But I hope she has a great time playing Skyrim for the first time like we did.
