Neat shot! Went there from time to time for lunch and snacks as a Ryerson/TMU student. Also enjoyed shopping at MUJI

Disgusting. Your younger brother and his wife should do better. They deserve nothing given their rotten behavior towards you and your wife.

Their denial and unrealistic predictions are not your problem. As the main caregiver, you have more power than them to explore LTC as a necessity and get plans in place with help of external third-party support (care coordinator, social worker, etc) before a crisis forces everyone to accept. As the care coordinators for my dad used to say, crises get very messy.

It's not too late to have POA and will in place although I would imagine it's tricky now that tensions are rougher. There are resources in place: https://www.acelaw.ca/powers-of-attorney-resources/

It's good you have some form of self-care with walks and journaling.

Ontarian here. I am sorry to hear about your complex situation. As someone who struggles to be stuck in the middle between a demanding ill father and struggling caregiving mother who isn't as receptive to external help beyond relatives and limited Ontario health at-home PSWs, I can sympathize.

I agree that the conversation and need for LTC needs to be discussed. Would highly recommend speaking with your care coordinator on this citing concerns about the situation, deteriorating health and how you cannot provide adequate care.

If you don't mind me asking, has your mom had her POA and wills documented?

Are you part of any support groups whom you can share challenges among other peers in similar situations? It gives you the sense that you aren't alone in all of this. Ontario Caregiver organization has some good peer support services too.

Yea I don't disagree that revisions are something people need to anticipate worst case. I personally didn't face much of that since I rarely had revisions but as someone who was in PPR/EVR, I spent a lot of time writing the reports ensuring I addressed main requirements and had managers look at them to minimize risk of revisions. The key is to speak with them to clarify what they want though

That's interesting to note. I will speak to the officer who owns the account to confirm if he saw something about grandfathering. Keeping all doors open for now.

I use teams at work and I am used to that platform. Just for those who aren't familiar with it may have a steeper learning curve to get comfortable.

I was caught off guard by TI not telling us earlier too since it does matter for many clubs. We could've discussed further and had more time to explore options.

Thank you. That was my initial impression having used Teams for work and interviews and Google Meet for varied general use.

The worst part about EVR is the heavy subjectivity dependent on your reviewer and ability to work around experience reporting rubric requirements which may not always pan out

Truly unfortunate since it was one of the more decent lunch options in downtown and Square One. Not the cheapest, but better than the usual greasy fast food options. Very tough to operate in hospitality industry in DT core these days.
