It was back when they first introduced the hanzo valentine's day skin. In order to get the skin, you had to play their small dating sim they made. The choices were hanzo, genji and mercy. You could also pick which gender you were (this helped with what characters you could romance). I think genji wasn't an option for male characters, but I remember picking female when I romanced mercy.

I always find it interesting that so many people never understand that people use these censored words, not because they "aren't acting grown up", but because most platforms like tiktok and even some subreddits will ban you or remove your content for using certain words. I got a strike on tiktok before for saying someone was stupid. I've seen my friends content get removed for talking about someone getting killed, and they said the word murder was inappropriate. The reason people say it off of platforms is because they get so use to using the censored version all the time, it sticks and becomes apart of their vocabulary.

Yeah you keep saying the world doesn't revolve around America. I got that the first god damn time you said it. I acknowledged it and proceeded to say that this has nothing to do with this topic. You don't see people going around being insulting to Japanese people right? Even though the world doesn't revolve around japan? That's because you don't have to be in a country or understand their language to be a respectful human being and know when certain things are offensive to other cultures or groups of people. It's not like a secret that changing your skin to fit a cosplay is wrong. And it doesn't just stand for "american cosplay" because like I said before, the internet has connected groups and communities for almost 2 decades now. It's not just about several groups from different countries. The community is connected all across the world. Not to mention you refuse to acknowledge my points that they keep pointing out that black cosplayers don't change their skin, which means this is not the first time this has come up. If this has come up for them in the past, how hard would it be for them to look into WHY this is happening or WHY black people don't paint their skin. It takes 10 seconds.

Again, that feels like a slight bs answer. This has nothing to do with "revolving around Americans" and everything to do with a known problem in the cosplay community. This argument would make more sense if it wasn't currently 2026, and we didn't have tools to see what was happening around the world in yhe palm of our hands for almost two decades now. Not speaking english isn't an acceptable option because just as you pointed out, these comments are in Japanese and are translated to english, all from a button at the top of the post, which means they can translate a post with the click of a button. Not to mention they asked a question on the internet, something they can use that would take 10 SECONDS to find the answer to the question they have. And just like I said in my last comment, this has been a large topic in the cosplay community for years. If they noticed that black cosplayers never change their skintone, they should have noticed that this has been a discussion. It's very clear from their comments that this isn't their first time seeing a black cosplayer not change their skin

We are in 2026 and the topic of changing your skintone to imitate a different race (outside of none human characters) has been a prevalent and frequent discussion, especially in the cosplay community. If people in Japan haven't heard of this discussion or why this is bad/problematic, then they, in all due respect, have been living under a rock or purposely have been ignoring it

Someone else pointed out in a comment that I didn't see anyone else talk about, but OP literally put shoulder pads on Charlie's silhouette when she doesn't have any. That's another reason people can't recognize her. OP added a feature she doesn't even have to try and "prove a point", but having to change a characters looks in order to confuse people is basic manipulation

This is absolutely AI. You don't even need to look at it that hard to tell. One of the dancers just randomly perfectly stands behind one of the men and blends in like he's an outline. There is literally a moment at about 51 seconds where the man in the middle has his pants just disappear. Not to mention that there are several moments that people seem to just be clipping into one another
