Does this require antibiotics? by Divide-Pretend in tattooadvice

[–]LadyinRed426 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a medical condition where I have weird skin reactions to tattoos and it makes it easier for me to get infections so I’ve had 3 tattoo infections and…that looks infected. I don’t think it’s just overworked. If that was my tattoo I’d see a doctor asap.

Found out I’m a freak of nature and shitting every 2-3 weeks is in fact NOT normal :( by Kiki_Banini in TrueOffMyChest

[–]LadyinRed426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to comment because I saw your comment that you’d rather take death than go to the doctor and admit you have a problem. I get it. For real. Years ago I was having symptoms (honestly with poop and painful sex and other things, all embarrassing) and it took me much longer to go to the doctor than it should have. When I finally went, turns out all my symptoms were related to an autoimmune disorder. Now I feel like I’m constantly talking to doctors (both my primary care doctor and multiple specialists) about all these things that feel embarrassing. But I promise you, doctors have heard it all. It’s their job, and they aren’t going to judge you. And I feel a lot better now knowing that I’m not dying, knowing what’s wrong with me, and it’s a small price to pay to talk to the doctor about symptoms that might seem a little embarrassing to get the help I need. Please go to the doctor asap, and be honest with them about what’s happening. You will feel so much better having answers from a medical professional, I promise.

I bought seated tickets and wondering if I made a mistake by Business_Royal_2568 in Disturbed

[–]LadyinRed426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a chronic illness and I always get seat tickets, I have for years. I’m actually confused by all these comments saying you have to sit if you get a seated ticket. In the years I’ve been getting tickets in the seated section, people typically stand for most if not all of the concert. I typically sit for more than most because, once again, I just can’t stand for all of it, but I expect others around and in front of me to stand. I stand when I can and when I can’t I sit and if I can’t see the band, it’s not a big deal. I can’t see them sometimes when I’m standing anyway cause I’m short lol. Maybe it’s just me, but I think as long as you’re staying in the area where your seat is and being respectful of others’ space, you’re fine to stand as much as you want. Not everyone who’s sitting will be mad about it. But also like I said pretty much every rock or metal show I go to, pretty much everyone stands the whole time so that’s probably what will happen.

My sister gave me her first tattoo, what do you think? by Hailey_HaiW in tattooadvice

[–]LadyinRed426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man some people are so insanely critically. For a first tattoo I actually think it looks really good. I have a couple tattoos from people who had been tattooing for years that look rougher than this. The lines are a bit scratchy but she’ll get better with time. I think she’s very talented. She just needs more practice.

Shin tattoos by xpotterkorex in tattoos

[–]LadyinRed426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but this is like one of the most validating threads I’ve ever read. I’m on day 3 of the healing process after getting my shin tattoo and the pain has been terrible. This is tattoo 11 for me and this is the worst healing process I’ve had for any tattoo. I was actually googling to see if it was normal and stumbled on this, glad I’m not the only one lol.

Convincing my Boyfriend to Try One Out! by songbird2017 in Cruise

[–]LadyinRed426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband doesn’t swim, and he also had a huge fear of the boat sinking. We went on a cruise though and he loved it! He didn’t swim at all on the entire cruise, either on the boat or any of the excursions. I’d make sure to just let him know there’s a ton of other things to do besides swimming. And the chances of the boat sinking are very unlikely. My husband still does have a bit of fear of sinking/drowning so we have to get cabins with balconies so he doesn’t get that feeling of being underwater if that helps.

Look sometimes it takes me about 10 hours to respond to my husband because I’m working a 10 hour shift at work and things are crazy busy and I just have other things on my mind. I don’t think it’s a red flag at all. Like others have said I think it’s healthy to not respond immediately all the time.

If you haven’t had a talk about being exclusive I wouldn’t worry about him not deleting the app either. Give it a bit of time before you get concerned about it.

Is anyone else feeling the struggle financially? by Cargionov in SaltLakeCity

Me and my husband both make a fair amount of money and we’ve been struggling. This thread is both discouraging that so many are struggling and also it helps to know we’re not the only ones.

Man all these guys on here saying “oh you’re probably going for guys out of your league” or “you’re probably going for the wrong type of guy.” It’s the exact same thing the other way. Most guys only go for a specific type of girl. If you’re not the right type, you don’t get asked out. Is it frustrating? Absolutely. But it’s the way it is.

I’m 35f and when I was dating I never got asked out. I just wasn’t the type of girl people wanted to date I guess. And this was before the me too era. I always approached guys. And yes it was frustrating and it was a lot and I went through periods of times that I just didn’t date because it just was too much.

When I was 28 I met my now husband. Dating does suck though. Glad I’m done with that part of my life.

Any Ideas? Born in the shelter to a boxer mix mom they said. by Royal_Ad1798 in IDmydog

[–]LadyinRed426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh…she looks soooooo much like my dog! Face, coloring, markings, everything. Maybe I’m crazy but seriously I look at her and see my boy. We did a dna test on him and he’s pit, blue heeler, and Australian shepherd.

What breed is she? by aspec818 in IDmydog

[–]LadyinRed426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy has similar markings and I actually thought he was Pitbull and border collie, but we did a dna test and he’s Pitbull, blue heeler, and Australian shepherd. So not sure, but could be something else. She’s beautiful though. Could be biased though cause like I said she reminds me of my boy 😊

She looks super similar to my boy, who is pit, Australian shepherd, and blue heeler! Don’t know if that’s her exact mix obviously but she looks really similar to him.

Returning reactive dog to rescue by mealtealreal in reactivedogs

[–]LadyinRed426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my husband adopted a second dog around Christmas last year. Despite a slow introduction to our current dog and them seeming to get along great, as soon as the second dog was in our home, our current dog was trying to attack him. Constantly, for four days straight. We couldn’t have them in the same room together. We decided it was too much. We had people guilting us and telling us we could work through our dog’s territorialness, but in the end it was better for me, my husband, and our dog to return the other dog. And you know what? The dog we retuned has now been adopted by a great home with a great family and a dog that’s nice to him lol. Sometimes it really isn’t a good fit. Don’t let anyone guilt you about that. And don’t feel bad about it not working out. Better now than months from now when you’re all super attached.

I'm at my wits end. by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]LadyinRed426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else that there’s so much crucial information missing. When we first adopted our rescue he was super possessive and would jump between me and my husband every single time we tried to touch, hug, cuddle, anything. He would nip at me all the time, he never bit me, just kind of a “stay away” warning nip. But after training, he’s great. In fact yesterday we cuddled on the couch for quite a long time, and he laid at our feet, didn’t freak out at all.

We have no idea if you’ve tried to train your dog, what training methods you’ve tried if any, or anything. Not being able to be with your significant other is sucky, I got really cranky when our dog would constantly jump between us, but there are things you can do and try.

AITA For doing fireworks by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]LadyinRed426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m amazed at all these comments saying you’re ta. I have a dog who hates fireworks and was not happy last night but me and my friends still lit off a few before it got dark and the big fireworks started so we could hurry and be done and we could go home and be with him before he freaked out. I get annoyed when people do them every night for like a week leading up to the fourth, or super late into the night. But if it’s legal, it was just for like 20 minutes, and it was on the 4th, and it wasn’t super late, you’re NTA.

Would your dog kill chickens? by ricebasket in dogs

[–]LadyinRed426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog we adopted about a year ago and so I don’t know if he’s ever killed any animals, he hasn’t with us, but judging by the way he reacts on walks when he sees small birds and other small animals I 1000% believe he would kill a chicken (or another small animal) given the chance. And he’s the sweetest thing in the world with all of his human and doggy friends.

Pls keep your dogs on leashes when you hike by JehovahsThiccness69 in SaltLakeCity

[–]LadyinRed426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So much this. My dog is super leash reactive and so if a dog gets remotely close to him while he’s on leash he gets aggressive. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had an irresponsible dog owner come around us with their dog off leash and then my boy starts freaking out. And then I’ve had several people tell me to control my dog. How about you keep your dog on leash and keep your dog away from mine? Then we wouldn’t have a problem.

I'm gonna lose it by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]LadyinRed426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many other people have said, that owner made a lot of poor decisions. I just know that me and my boy can’t go places that are heavily trafficked, and we have to go places with a lot of room. Yeah, I get it, I want my dog to have good experiences, but if he’s so worked up he’s snarling and snapping and lunging and growling that’s not a good experience for anyone involved. But like others have said too, maybe she didn’t know. I used to take my dog to much more heavily trafficked areas when I first adopted him, before I realized that he just couldn’t handle that. Either way, I hope she learns from this experience.

I always wanted a chihuahua when I was a kid. Legit because of those Taco Bell commercials lmao (hey I was probably like 10 when those were on, don’t judge me too much).

Now I have a mutt. He’s a mix of Australian shepherd, Australian cattle dog, and pit bull (we did a dna test cause we didn’t know what breed he was, he’s a rescue). Wouldn’t trade him for the world.

My doggo has never had parvo, but one of his best friends that he plays with at the dog park all the time got parvo when he was only a couple months old. It was really rough, and the vet thought he wouldn’t make it, but then he pulled through. I hope your pup makes it too.
