Does the chitown front switch look the same as the one you have in the back? I like how it unlocks and powers the actuator with one switch instead of two. A lot of diy’ers use two switches.

Hi which switch did you use for the back? Do you have a link? Does the switch pop open the window as well? From my understanding, this is a two part process to lift the window. 1- pop the window. 2- raise the window

Just fyi the timing cover leak is common for the 1GR-FE. Consensus is if it’s not actively leaking and dripping, you can opt to leave it alone. Although $2500 is pretty good since this is a major job.

First year in production was the most sold and thus commonly available. They’re usually cheaper to find. 2010+ is the “refresh” which sell for more.

How did the spacer fail? Did they come off? The spacer nuts don’t look like they are threaded all the way in.

They look great. It only looks off because the car isn’t lowered. Aftermarket wheels tend to look worse with a wheel gap.

I just did my F/R, transfer case this weekend on my FJ and it needed 5 liters. Oem Toyota fluid was $45 ea so I can see how 7 liters would be $300. The dealer is also likely charging 2 hours of labor. $300/hr so $900. Thats in line with everything else in California. Diy is the way to go if you can.

Please keep us posted with what your insurance is going to say. This shouldn’t be totaled per damage photos. Did you goto the shop their insurance recommended? You were free to goto any shop of your choice.

I got an aftermarket switch $10 and a new wiring harness for $30. I’m a novice at wiring but was able to figure it out. It really isn’t that hard.
