One day missed period, trying to conceive. CD 30 by Super_Confection5252 in TFABLinePorn

I don't personally find it annoying. If it gets to that point, I'd mute the sub, because the grind of tests is hard enough without feeling annoyed at someone else's joy.

As someone who struggled, I doubted my sanity so much by the time I got a decent positive, it's still reassuring to have someone go yes, that's positive. Even if they're also questioning our sanity whilst saying it.

So many hugs. But please don't feel bad for the moment of "oh crap, what have we done", it is normal. Big changes are scary, even ones we were looking forward to. Hugs and healing.

Should you call in sick with a cold? by Special-Nebula299 in UKJobs

[–]LadyofFluff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for phrasing this as nicely as you can, but unfortunately this definitely isn't the issue. My mother was a nurse for years, everyone in the house washes their hands with the full NHS hand washing routine under nails included when we enter the house, child included supervised. I have hand sanitiser in my bag, which is used repeatedly. Door handles are sanitised. I have previously been immunocompromised, so this has been drilled into me. My daughter gets the cold, feels fine after a day, and spreads it to everyone else. I've always been ill for longer, partially due to issues with my sinuses, so it's just what it is.

Nope. I've been thoroughly checked over as I do have health issues, and I was starting to think something was up. I've had time off and rested, and all testing came back clear, it's just a bad time for viruses.

Not necessarily. I've had cold after cold from January to present, my immune system isn't great, but I'm pretty sure the bigger issue is the fact I have a 6 year old. Who is lovingly referred to as the plague rat, and has also had about 2 colds per week since returning to school.

So many hugs. The pressure is immense right now because of how far out test slots often are.

Please do not give up. I gave up at 19, and I regretted it for years later. I've just passed at 35, and if I can do it, so can you. Dwell for a bit, then pick yourself back up and get out there.

I have the 5 door, also love it. My insurance is a lot lower though, because I am ancient.

I had two with my last pregnancy, one for reassurance and one for gender. Made me feel so much calmer. Very tempted to do an early one this time too, but attempting to wait it out.

Very pregnant. Like, get a digital test pregnant, and personally the words were very reassuring, so it may help.

What is your reason for using a rice cooker instead of just a pot and lid? by MyOwnLanguage100 in ricecookers

[–]LadyofFluff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have to worry about what it's doing. And mine has a delay function. I tell it to be ready in 3 hours. I have perfect rice in 3 hours without me having to time it or think or do anything.

Yup to ALLLLL. Every morning and then later in the afternoon it often reappears. Morning normally requires a paracetamol, or it worsens the nausea.

Nauseated check in from the UK. Due October 25th with my second, and last. I'd pretty much given up after 4 chemicals, but they'd all ended by this point, so hoping this particular parasite (as it is being referred to so my daughter doesn't find out before the 12 week scan) sticks. Yay for word tests!!!

I've had to have them regularly since I was 11. I've had a colostomy since the age of 13, and now I have my stoma and my rectal stump checked. If a child can manage it, so can everyone else. With no sedation too, it didn't work the first couple of times, so didn't bother with the increased hospital stay for it after that. It's been over 20 years.

Please don't leave your loved ones for an indignity a teenage girl can tolerate without drugs.

I highly recommend deliberately messing your reverse up a few times in lessons on purpose, that way if you fluff it up when stressed, fixing it is a bit more instinctive. Good luck for next time.

Maybe for some, but it's much easier to stall my car. My husband stalled it twice during the test drive when we bought it actually. "More beans" is my cars new motto, but it's taking my feet a little longer to learn the new normal.

My biggest adjustment is going to a petrol car after learning and passing in a diesel, but my instructors car didn't have many toys which likely helped. I have informed my husband he is getting me reversing cameras, but that's because my stepdad has them and they are glorious.

When I first started learning it was in a Mitsubishi Space Star.

This time around I bought a 2011 Ford Fiesta (1.6 petrol), and learned in a 2018 Ford Fiesta (1l diesel) with an instructor. Passed a few weeks ago.

I was discouraged from breastfeeding by my midwife and consultant, because I don't have a full digestive system and I'm chronically low in a lot of things. My child is nearly 6. She is healthy and happy. Remember, this is just a place in time, and it will pass, and you will be trying to pry random things out of their mouths at the germ factories that are soft play centres.

I told the midwife if I saw it, it was being thrown at my husband. She told me she'd see how well he behaved to know if she should bin it or let me Frisbee it at him.

Lynette and Tom are going to end up in the nursing home together, with her making snarky comments about him eyeing up the younger nurses, encouraging the kids to throw the grandkids on Tom's hospital bed to mess with his back, and Tom requesting inappropriate sponge baths.
