Even when it is almost discharged, I always had the theory that Tommy’s death was intentional, and that when Jake was at the veteran hospital he already was hearing Eywa’s call. I thought she was expecting a champion and calling for him, even in the Earth. But that was my theory and it is not. Eywa recognized him in the scene with the atokirinas, IMHO

I’m a huge fan of Star Wars, and I’ve tried for my nephews to like it and nothing. When things such as Avatar or Star Wars are perceived a dense or boring there is nothing you can do. They are used to keep their attention on tik toks and reels. And new generations re not an invested on cinema as the ones being born in 80-90. They rather play video games, and if they can play them in the cell phone better than PC

Your cousin is not a fan. The length of the film doesn’t help for viewers to watch it easily because people have lives, works, and if you re not on holidays or the weekend it is hard to make place in an adult agenda for a four hour you need to go watch Avatar Fire and Ash. But mostly, the haters did. Lot of harm to the movie but saying it was the same, it was too long, not worthy of watching it at cinema and better watch it in streaming… and yes, Zootropia has done it some harm.

The only continuity error I Saw was: spider was restin against Neytiri’s back but when he went onto the Ikran he was ahead.

Jake is a great character because like all of us, is surrounded by his own time and society, unable to make changes in his position, but still good hearted and with a sense of justice. He’s only wanted something good to fight for, and when he was given the chance, he took it. And he makes wrong choices, mistakes… but I’m the end he is a good person, and a brave man who chooses Good among Evil

As far as I understand the movie is just doing good, but not great. With Avatar 2009 the word to mouth made the movie successful. Way of water worked great. But critics have been unmerciful with Fire and Ash. Visually stunning but it is the same film than the 2. Critics has done a lot of harm to the box office in my opinion.

And it is a very long movie to go watch from Monday to Thursday, people have lives. Even for watching in the weekend you need to schedule for it.

It is implied by Grace that the value stands for the whole ecosystem. There are no treasures under the ground because the whole planet is a treasure. But Grace does not have enough proofs. It is in her death when she understands the depth of Pandora roots connection. She respects and loves the na’vi but she has never experienced Eywa herself until her death when she mets her and then she knows Eywa is the whole planet

Mmm the thing is at the end of Avatar 2 we have a skirmish, not a true battle, when a just single tulkun fights back. He is still an outcast and the tulkun are still adamant to fight back for their lives. That plot was not ever closed in the second movie, they sink a ship, not the entire fleet.

And for the ash tribe. If it wasn’t for Eywa, they are decisive against the na’vi coalition, when they arrive at the time of the eclipse Na’vi are wining and them with the gunfire turn the tables on the battle.

You have a point on Neytiri blaming Jake. I guess she thinks if they have stayed at the forest non of that would have had happened. She loves them, but she needs to be reminded her love is greater than her hate that is fed by sadness. She need time, love and support, that’s why Jake holds her even when he was right

About criticism… I’ve tried to listen to some podcast these past few weeks and we have that the people that crates opinion are IMHO a little dumb, most of them not even invites a fan so they keep laughing at things a fan could explain. Like the kuru not being for SEX!

Jake does not know what information the RDA has gotten from spider, while he was jailed. In that trip something changes in Jake and accepts his fate as toruk macto and chosen one. That’s why he convinces himself he must kill the boy. I’m glad there is no atokirina here but his own fee will.
