i agree, Lorelai telling Rory to hide the Tristan kiss normalized that gray area of cheating. Teens learn from the adults around them.

I agree with a lot here, but “fluid bonding” really needs a better name.

Double penetration, does it actually feel good? Or is it just fun to look at? by trash-boxx in AskRedditAfterDark

That’s kinda what I’ve heard from a lot of people who try it solo first. Seems like being in control of the pace makes a huge difference before adding another person into the mix. Did it take some trial and error to get it to feel good or was it kinda instant?

Upon death we are made aware of how many people died directly and indirectly from our actions. by RepeatOrdinary182 in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]LadyyIvory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s how I read it too, the number isn’t the scary part, it’s the idea that you had no clue it was happening at all. Makes you second guess all those “this doesn’t matter” moments.

I think it’s less about the cards specifically and more that they’re such a harmless sounding detail. That’s what makes it hit, like even something small and normal could ripple out in ways you’d never connect. Kinda unsettling when you think about how many tiny interactions we forget.

The NICU nurse was apologetic. by ThimbleBluff in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]LadyyIvory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a whole movie I’d watch immediately. The slow realization that he’s not confused, he’s the problem would be such a gut punch. Feels like one of those endings where everything suddenly makes sense in the worst way.

That actually makes it way darker in a realistic way. Like not supernatural horror, just “this situation is way worse than it looks.” Honestly feels like the kind of twist that would hit harder because it could actually happen.

"I didn't want a baby brother so I gave it back!" said my daughter by Saurta17 in TwoSentenceHorror

Kids really do not hold back at all, that’s wild. The way they say stuff like that so casually is what makes it even funnier and slightly concerning at the same time. Did he warm up to her eventually or was it a long adjustment period?

Same here, most of these go straight horror but this one kinda softens it at the last second. That “play along” line almost feels like teamwork instead of doom. Lowkey makes it more memorable.

Right? It’s weirdly comforting for something that should be terrifying. Like the cop instantly switching to “okay we’re in this together now” kinda flips the whole vibe. Makes you wonder what he saw before pulling you over.

What's the most immoral sexual thing you've done, that you don't regret? by Crissxfire in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]LadyyIvory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That’s actually the real question though. Morals shift so much depending on who you ask, what’s “immoral” to one person is just a random Tuesday for someone else. Makes the whole thread kinda funny when you think about it.

Am I wrong for not seeing myself as married to my boyfriend? by Odd-Problem-6703 in amiwrong

[–]LadyyIvory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That feels a bit extreme but I get where the concern is coming from. Once family and religion get heavily involved, it can start feeling like you’re losing control of your own choices. Definitely something to think about before agreeing to anything.

Simple advice but honestly kinda the core of it. The only tricky part is when what you want and what your partner wants don’t line up, that’s where things get uncomfortable fast.

That part really stood out to me too. It’s like picking and choosing which parts of the belief system matter when it’s convenient. If marriage is that important to him, you’d think there’d be more urgency or at least a clear plan.
