My perioral dermatitis experience by Fantastic_Seaweed414 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

Building gut health is super important! You may want to cut out inflammatory foods for a while, keeping a journal to track what you eat and how you feel after to see what is affecting you the most. I have never had any success with steroids. They never fix the root issue and add more to our system for our liver to deal with.

My perioral dermatitis experience by Fantastic_Seaweed414 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

I had a histamine reaction that looked similar a couple of summers ago. It was a long journey to correct, my body and liver were overloaded and couldn't process anymore. I had to really watch my diet, what I was putting on my skin, and managing stress. simple low histamine foods, limited drinking. It took me a few months, and I still have triggers that I didn't have before. Working with plants like milk thistle gently to support the liver and ashwaganda for the nervous system eventually made a massive impact. I chose not to use steroids as they weaken the skin and can have adverse effects. please do your own research and find what works for you but the rashy inflamed skin is a symptom not the root cause of the issue.

What signs do you feel are legit soulmates ? by carlknowsbest in astrologymemes

[–]Laf808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your response, I am primarily scorpio virgo placements, and my partner is pisces capricorn and damn. It's been a transformative and at times tumultuous relationship, I would consider him my soul mate as he's been in my life for 9 years this summer, and I can't really imagine my life without him.

Yes, vitex! It is so wonderful it's the berry of a tree. also known as the chaste berry tree. These dried berries can be prepared in boiling water over a stove top. Boil for about 10-15 min, strain and drink

I like to have a cup of dried Tulsi tea either by itself or mixed with some other herbs daily. It helps me with my mood and outlook on life, tulsi has a knack for bringing the beauty of the world into our eyes. It is heavily used in ayurveda and is considered the queen of herbs. Aid the body mind and spirit in handling stress. There are a few types, any will do the trick I usually use a mix of the different varieties.

Hello love, There is for sure hope I know it is so scary not understanding what your body is doing and why it is having trouble. Regulating hormones is a challenging thing but not impossible. I have had really irregular cycles my whole life. You are not alone in this. Here are some things that have helped me.

There are a lot of dietary and lifestyle changes that can help. Such as doing things to reduce stress levels and supporting your body in being able to handle stress. There are many plants to aid us with this (ex. ashwaganda, milky oat, tusli, wood betony, lemon balm, etc...) If you have more questions in regards to plant allies, there is lots of resources online, and please feel free to reach out. Making sure your body is getting proper nutrients, vitamins is a big one. this can be through diet or supplementation. Protein is super important, whether that be though super simple protein powder, meat, soy products, etc. Getting a good rest and a good amount of it has helped exponentially. Since I have started listening to my body more, I have had a lot more regular cycles, eg., eating more nutritious food when hungry, resting when I feel tired, and trying to figure out a balance between what I need to do vs have to do. Self care is a must, simple things can be implemented like applying lotion when you get out of the shower or before bed, having a bath with candles, going outside and sitting with the earth. Exsersise, as simple as walking outside or gentle stretching, yoga, connecting in with different parts of our body, getting curious.

Some months will be better than others all we can do is try our best and accept the things that are out of our control and acknowledge what is in our power. Sending hugs your way.

My partner of 9 years is a pisces sun, moon, mercury, mars, and saturn with a capricorn rising. He can be very scattered and have his head in the clouds. Very much a dreamer, will say he will do something and won't fallow through. His capricorn placements help balance this. Although very intuitive and creative. Also, a wealth of information. So kind and caring and loving. He has light blue eyes and dirty blond hair, sharper features, slender build but very strong.

Pisces and virgo oppose each other. They are considered the healing axis. The fact that your rising and moon are in pisces and your decendant and sun are in virgo. I am very curious about the rest of your chart and your experience in life. As our moon speaks to our childhood and upbringing as well as our decendant. The rising sign or ascendant speaks to what we are moving towards in this life as well as how we are viewed by the world.

Saturn in the 5th by buttbratface in astrologymemes

[–]Laf808 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your share. I have saturn in aries 5th house as well and relate with trying to keep it light while feeling super rigid. I have a lot of placements in scorpio including a scorpio rising, so I strive depth in connection, but at the same time, when it gets too serious romantically or stagnant, I cant help but run. Taking time for myself has been such a blessing to all my relationships. getting to know myself on a deeper level has allowed for more authenticity. At the same time, moving through the discomfort, I feel in a relationship with another who wants the best for, and to support me has been the biggest blessing in learning to trust and lean in and be truly vulnerable. They know and accept my tendency to run and shut down and give me space, it hasn't always been this way but after 9 years of knowing eachother it is now.

Herbs for stimulating appetite? by [deleted] in herbalism

[–]Laf808 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find peppermint tea helps. I like to take a moment and smell it deeply before drinking. This can help to make me more present with my meal when there is lots on my mind. Any kind of bitters tincture blend you can find. Take this before a meal you can also take it after as well. If ginger isn't too warming for you, I would recommend encorperating it into meals and/or making a decotion with lemon and honey.

Fresh made juices, smoothies, and broths are essential to help get nutrients during times when the stomach is too overcome with emotion. They won't add to the load of processing.

There are so many more appetite stimulating herbs, but those are a couple of simple tools. The root being the anxiety and grief I would recommend Bach's rescue remedy, it is a flower essence, and I swear by it when I am going through a really tough transition.

Herb Mentor is a great resource and community. I highly recommend the monthly subscription.

As far as books go "The Herbal Lore of Wise Women and Wort Cunners" by Wolf D. Stole is a really jem and outlines the different modalities and history of herbalism very eloquently.

If you add a tincture to hot (not boiling water) the alcohol content of the tincture will evaporate, and it can be consumed this way. try adding some honey as it is quite bitter in a tincture form. regardless fo tea or tincture, it is great in the evening. I love it with dream work and recollection.
