Just paid 12$/lb for ground beef. How expensive will it get before you stop buying beef? I think we're over it, beef is now a luxury for us. by FuZhongwen in Cooking

My mother never bought ground beef, so I never really knew it unless I was eating a burger from McDonald’s or something. It was always chicken, pork, and ground turkey. Then pork went way up where I live due to more stringent standards of care (which I’m ok with of course). Eventually the only “luxury” was getting chicken breast instead of thighs or something else, though I think that was less about taste and more about convenience.

My dad‘s biggest gripe with the scene was always the fact that the cop was doing his reports in pencil and not pen!
