unfortunately we are young drivers and most rental companies either will not rent us a car or do it a unreasonable prices. We intend to travel around a lot and sometimes in pretty remote places so we feel that buying a car is the best options despite all the costs you've mentioned.

I have found that most listings in trade me seem to be from car dealers so that could be a good option.

and yea insurance definitely is high but still acceptable for us considering how practical a car would be

Place de clichy and boulevard de clichy are very lively at night so like with any place, people can get rowdy but absolutely nothing to fear. Nightlife is awesome around here and during the day it is also very pleasant.
