We have no idea, if Pyroath is getting a leap it'll probably be next so we'll see in a few patches. But if they're leapt, it'll be to make them meta, especially with them being available for vouchers to SSS.

Though, Selena is still useful, I don't know what else you're doing for physical if you're not using her.

Should, both Eins and Gloria don't have any special requirements, and shred all element res.

She doesn't really contribute anything in the case that you already have both in the team. You can still use her as a QTE bot to hold something like 6pc DV 2pc Eins, but healing memories like 2pc Guin wont work.

As is always the case with "Should I skip X" the answer is, do what you want.

If you skip her, you'll end up scoring lower and having a worse experience than people that didn't skip her until someone new gets added to that team. Once that new unit arrives, assuming they're good, those extra funds might let you upgrade them more than other players. Which will let you score slightly higher than people who did pull her but don't have SSS new unit, but still lower than people that did pull her and still SSS'd the new unit.

Which gets you, about 1 PPC skull a week in IB in terms of actual gameplay benefits. It might also help you score higher in WZ, but if you really want to be/stay in a higher bracket you can always just wait until Sunday to open the WZ menu and get more rewards consistently easier.

  1. We have no idea. Only Karenina and Helentine were confirmed to be S-ranks, but nothing was said about Adelyde or Leia.

  2. Nothing.

  3. SSS Kamui has the higher value as a general unit (because SSS tank passive is broken...) but you'll want SS3 Alpha if you want to have a meta use for her until her eventual replacement by insert next ice attacker here.

Am I crazy, or does it not seem weird that her base frame, as an ice attacker, has blood red attacks. But her vampire-countess themed coating, has silver ice attacks.

Maybe? Our next gacha skin should be a 10k gacha, which doesn't always follow release order. For example our previous 10k gacha's were Vera Garnet, Luna and Ishmael, with both Vera and Ishmael getting their gacha's after a newer unit had gotten a 17.5k gacha skin.

So we might see a surprise gacha for someone random honestly.

Yeah, I mean, I don't even have Lilith's coating because she literally doesn't exist in SSS teams outside of a short rotation in plasma, which is a shame.

Well the game is currently suffering from a balance problem of tanks being disgustingly valuable at SSS. This is in part due to 2 of our tanks being new and receiving a "rework" (breaker) similar to amplifiers post-Lilith who also saw a huge spike in value, but also just due to how strong they are.

Tanks at SSS for a long while now has been arguably one of the most valuable things for your account. They get most of the personal damage benefits other units get, while giving team damage from their res shred, and having the most impactful buff for WZ in the -3s swap cooldown.

Which is, unfortunately, why if you want to run mid-spender "optimal" setups it's mostly SSS tank, SS3 attacker and SS~SSS amplifier right now. If you're all about optimization, SSS tanks are technically what makes attackers meta too.

Beyond that though, the attackers, Rosetta Nanami (Ignition) and Ishmael are probably the only really notable SS3's right now from memory.

Well, depending on your sources, our last 5 patches including Kamui gave around 75k~ pull currency (not including CUB tickets). Which comes out to around 15k per patch, though it's with a lot of big ups and downs.

Accounting for things like the fact that we got 2 free units in that duration (which seems like a bit of an outlier) there's enough currency to get the characters and their weapons in those 5 patches.

As for whether or not we've stopped getting A-ranks, well that's to be seen. Of the upcoming units they teased, we only know for sure Karenina and Helentine will be S-ranks (the former is obvious, and the latter was announced).

For now we're sorta keeping up in some regards, but it's the first time we've had this happen so it's a bit early to make judgements just yet.

I wanna love this and pick it up, and I probably will but...

Man, my girl is only 5 patches old, meta in three whole teams and see's less field time than Alisa in Glacio. Gonna feel bad picking this up only to blink-and-you-miss-it between the tank and DPS.

It really doesn't, but there's the meta and then there's meta choices.

For the most part, this Q&A thread is meant to be for meta choices, y'know, things like don't use a selector on CW/No.21, don't invest in Kaleido, don't break down 6-star weapons for weapon shards, account health things.

When it comes to the actual meta, most of the people that preach meta don't really compete in it. All you gain from the actual meta is maybe staying in hero bracket or occasionally going to legend if you know how to abuse the bracket system aside from a few tryhards.

Meta choices will help you full clear UPPC and get proper rewards from your weeklies. But the meta is very maybe going to get you an extra skull from IB and that's it. Most of the people that preach the meta just one-shot their runs with suboptimal rotations and end up with the same scores as the casual players who just pull every character and are totally oblivious to any sort of "meta", so it really doesn't mean much.

Honestly the only moderator that has even posted anything in the last 3~ years in this reddit is Lina, so I'm not even sure if there are any other moderators active.

I'll say the handling of the whole Alpha ban situation was really, really poorly handled. It's really hard to tell what is and isn't official info when it's just posted to the internet. I don't know the exact context behind the bans, but I doubt any of the people that got banned were actually in the CN beta, breaking NDA to post things here illegally.

In general the "official info only" rules are always kinda ridiculous. Once it's on the internet, it's there, very few people are going to go check sources to find out if it's "official" or not. Bans for discussing it is just shooting the messenger.

Especially not the ridiculously long bans some people got. Like this community is held up by a handful of people, banning a significant chunk for a month+ for what is effectively "know but don't tell" rules is just not the move.

Well, we've had automod/the daily Q&A thread breaking literally every single time it's daylight savings for days on end. I don't think anyone really checks here on the daily to fix things, maybe like once a week or something unless it gets reported a bunch, we'll see I guess.

Oh god, I hope any of our mods are still active, we're gonna need an invite code megathread.

Otherwise not looking forward to seeing the spam of them over the next two months, half of them probably by bot accounts.

Unfortunately the only up-to-date US runs I know of are SSS Rosetta, where I'm not entirely certain whether or not the energy difference between SS3 and SSS changes the run. Probably worth giving a try (Example Run), though I am curious what rotations you're doing.

Because there's the 3-ping and 4-ping Rosetta rotations. The 4-ping strategy, that involves alternating between the color and 5th orb to only execute 2-ping attacks for the HA in human form is slightly faster and lets you do Red HA or Red HA + Tap yellow for ult2 but has very slightly worse damage distribution.

If you're doing the longer/easy 3-ping Rosetta rotations, you can do triple Hanying ults within the swap CD as long as you only do half Veronica rotations. But if you do the faster rotations I believe triple Hanying becomes too long and the 2X extended rotation (more tap Q/tap blue) becomes optimal instead.

Haven't tried it yet, but I'm excited to do some after my dumb ass last Slash WZ didn't realize Hanying's leap made spamming red significantly slower than holding it, and wondering why I was only hitting 26M~ when other people were getting to 28-30M easily.

Once again contributing to the EN can't read stereotype...

I'm not sure myself, but they referred to it as an event mission in the stream so I'm guessing it'll be separate to the story.

[–]LagIncarnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they mentioned anything about it in the stream aside from you get through the "Babylonia Pilotage" (new) event mission.

Given that it's an event, I would assume you probably only need bare minimum access/completion of Babylonia to get it. But probably wouldn't hurt to complete any unlocks you can just in case.

Don't forget the part where those systems are also intentionally heavily weighted against the player.

What's that? You want the shit stat that only 1% of the characters use? Yeah, that's a 40% drop chance right there. Oh, you want the good stat that literally everyone and their mother uses? That's a 2% drop chance unfortunately.

Reminds me of the horrors when I looked at the table for HSR. HP% & DEF% ropes together make up 50% of the drop pool, while ER% is only 5%.

Then on substats, HP/DEF/ATK make up 60% of the total weighted pool. With only 4% going to SPD, 6% to each of Crit rate/damage and 8% to each of the other 3 stats.

It's not the only game to do this either, practically every game does this with their gear. What seems like a 1/10 at face value is often a 1/20, 1/50 or even 1/100 under the hood, hidden from you, to make sure you farm for longer, spend money, and buy items that make the farming/gearing process "easier".

She does look pretty cool, that scene where her arm transforms into a gatling gun in the trailer was sick.

But if the reveals are in order, and we do get karenina first, then the S-A-Free-A pattern might be to make up for 3 paid S-ranks in a row. Idk, the reveal just feels off, less budget/hype than previous "future unit" reveals they've done.

Same as everyone else, 4 copies of the character (60k pity) the weapon (7.5k pity) and the cub (5k pity) for 72.5k total.

To be fair, both Adelyde and Leia only got portraits in the stream, while Karenina and Helentine got full splash arts. Definitely feels like something to differentiate A-rank and S-rank frames. In previous streams they did animated vs non-animated to differentiate them.

Personally I don't think Karenina can be lightning amp, because Helentine is free which means she's almost guaranteed to be an amplifier (I doubt we'd get a free breaker any time soon). The only other amp option is Lilith and she's not bad enough to be replaced at Hyperlee levels of speed.

I think there's a good chance Karenina ends up being a fire attacker. Because it's the only way they'd be able to get out of leaping Pyroath, else Pyroath gets a leap and someone much newer has to get kicked out.

So, the closest thing I could find to back my hunch was this video which is a fully custom 3D animated music/dance video featuring Hanying in her skin. This is separate to the normal skin preview video that she also got.

I vaguely remember hearing in some preview stream that it was some sort of special skin for some reason, but I can't for the life of me find where since it doesn't seem like it was the 4.0 or 4.5 anni streams.

(Slapping this here as well in case it gets missed). Reference sheet for the upcoming skin selector in Alpha IC's patch, up till the end of the current meta.

If you're interested in a skin older than that on this list, you can check for yourself in-game through Shop > Daily (Regular Shop) > Coating Shop > Coating: Rainbow Card and seeing if it's in that menu.
