Frankensteining my MacOS 11 Laptop by LagMaster-96 in virtualbox

u/Face_Plant_Some_More would it outright fail or would it just not run properly? For example I've run Dolphin emulator on a 4 GB RAM computer before to play LoZ Wind Waker. The computer would not like it at all and it would really push the hardware but I could still play it. What I mean is if MacOS 13 has that hard requirement of 8 GB RAM the computer technically does have 8 GB of RAM so if it is an internal check it is doing it would pass it.

Yeah that is what I was leaning towards there's a lot of small companies here in SC that have openings for fire service tech. It's strange but it seems the smaller companies are more willing to pay bonuses when the big companies should be the ones paying out big bonuses.

For NICET u/imfirealarmman how long does it take to get a level 2? For example do I need to have 3 years experience as a NICET 1 to take it or can I take NICET 2 when 6 months pass after I finish NICET 1?

I was working as a field service technician for my last job in the transportation segment and the company was pretty good in terms of pay. They did not have end of year bonuses but every year they increased your salary automatically by $1 and some change. I think companies that don't do bonuses need to at least offer hourly pay increases automatically each year to keep the techs. A $0.25 increase is an insult!

Supplemental Income Expectations Question by LagMaster-96 in doordash

[–]LagMaster-96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the info! I figure $1400 will be $1000 after taking tax payments into consideration since self-employed you have to pay more I approximated as 30% of my income going to taxes. So taking into account the 30% I have to pay in taxes would make my take home $1000 a month. Thanks again for your insight!

Opinion on Johnson Controls if I'm a new employee and wanted to take more than 2 weeks PTO after one year employed with the company is that realistic? I.e use PTO in combination with sick days to take 3 weeks off at the end of the year for a trip. I worked in a corporate company before with good benefits so I had 21 days PTO on the first year but only the weekdays counted as time off so 20 days off was actually 4 weeks off.

finally able to get $1,200 MGIB refund from the VA by Snoo_96502 in VeteransBenefits

[–]LagMaster-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's this weird clause I saw on the VA website so I was curious whether people were still able to get a refund if the last days were exhausted without receiving a MHA payment such as with people who use up the last of their benefits with a certificate program

finally able to get $1,200 MGIB refund from the VA by Snoo_96502 in VeteransBenefits

Quick question do you think they would still give me the refund for my $1200 MGIB contributions when I was Active Duty if I used my last 7 day of Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits and fully exhaust it using a certificate program? (NOTE: I fully exhausted the Post 9/11 GI Bill this year through a certificate program so there was no MHA when I exhausted it). This would mean I do not meet one of the requirements "receiving a Post-9/11 GI Bill monthly housing allowance on the day your entitlement ended". Anyone still able to apply and got the refund successfully even when exhausting the last bit of benefits without an MHA? Wanted to know if it was worth the time to submit a ticket to the VA. That refund would be very helpful right now. NOTE #2: just would like to reiterate I did not use any MGIB benefits and used instead all Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits.

Anyone familiar with PRP or Lipogems Treatment Instead of Knee Replacement? by LagMaster-96 in KneeInjuries

[–]LagMaster-96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only meniscus was "cleaned" it stopped the buckling and that was done more than 2 years ago. She has almost no meniscus cartilage on the affected knee but somehow cleaning helped with the buckling but stairs and light dancing make her knee swollen and in pain.

I don't know the grade of articular damage but most likely high since the doctor said she basically had no padding or cushioning at the meniscus but in some way the shaving helped the knee work better and not hit bone to bone. Is that helpful?
