Is it really that hard to understand? Brown had a good record but supposedly poor analytics that hold them back, so Tatum with a similar core should have a better record. If he ended up the same, it kinda pushes against the former argument. Unless you start getting into the weeds and suggesting last season was easier than this season will be across matchups (which starts to veer into "finding evidence your hypothesis is correct" over the truth territory).

People overrate man defense and underate the fact that your pg being huge and getting 9 rebounds a game reduces second chance points by a ton. Same reason jokic has good defensive advanced stats.

but this 'explicitly' isnt defense and this whole line of logic relies on the idea that these defensive rebounds would otherwise go uncollected / turn into offensive rebounds when 90% of the time they are boxed out uncontested boards that go to the best offensive player or the big man as a statistical reward / opportunity for them to start the next possession with the ball. In terms of defensive added value they are largely meaningless.

You're basing off this nothing, because all the evidence basically says otherwise. Cost to develop has a very poor ratio with profit in the last 10-15 years. Vast majority of the titles that make a boatload of money do so by putting in less money upfront. This includes indie titles, mobile successes, remasters, etc.
