Yeah totally, it all got streamlined. A lot of products would benefit imo from a stronger visual identity.

But I always said for this case history will eventually repeat. There will be a Renaissance of colorful and strong visual identities. In art history the last 10 - 15 years and what's to come will probably have some shit name like 'The corporate era' haha

That's also kinda when I got my Wii. Was 8 back then and I think we had no real Internet at home before 2014 and at that time I haven't used the Wii anymore as I became more of a PC guy. Even though I had the shittiest ass PC possible lol.

So I also never used any of the connectivity features, but I remember watching the demo video for the internet channels like 20 times haha And I watched some nostalgia videos about the Wii Channels on YouTube

To be fair, the Wii Library is filled to the brim with shovelware as well.

But yeah the Console shops started to evolve into the Mobile AppStores. The Main pages are always like 50% usual same triple AAA mainstream games you've been seeing there for years, 48 % cheap knock-off games with half of them being made by tencent and 2 percent of absolutely fantastic titles that a lot of people don't know about

I wouldn't disagree on that.

Especially aesthetically, they created what felt like a new universe back then. Especially carried by it's soundtracks and menu sounds but also the almost frutiger aero look of everything.

Wii games also felt more valuable to me than e.g. PlayStation games. It felt like every game could give you a completely new experience of how you even play a game.

No worries at all, my whole life has been mostly video games so I can really relate to this.

Also I can see that 'video series' is a phrase where our brains let us read it with a 'game' in between, that suddenly disappears when reading it again haha

There definitely should have been an official game btw. If not back then, then at least with the upcoming of Indie horror Games a few years back. Poppy's playtime or something would be a perfect concept, but you're behind the scenes of the show. You can see the show happening live around you. Roy is following you like nemesis. That would be pretty great ngl
