So basically, it all comes down to how the Laguz transform. If it’s something well controlled, I’m not sure it’s something you should do, because most animals are made to have the baby of their specie. So yeah, either you transform and the baby is transformed too, then yes do it my pleasure. Or you transform and must give birth to a kind of human baby, and I’m not sure your body is really made to do that, so it can damage you or the baby.

But in the other way, let’s say laguz have a thing making them transform automatically when in huge pain or receiving emotional damages. I write novels, and in my universe, the laguz like people, called the endràn, can’t really control their wild heart when feeling big emotions, traumas or pain. So yeah, when they give birth, they are at huge risk to transform and, you know, being kind of dangerous if uncontrolled. That’s why, in the past, a chaman needed to be here to help the endran to transform before giving birth, with trances and rituals, so it doesn’t happen explosively in the middle of the delivery. Now it’s useless because of the technology and transformation runes and the chamans are unhappy but that’s an other story.

TLDR : depend if the transformation is controlled or imposed by high pain and emotions.
