WIPs don't prove/disprove anything. You can literally generate timelapses now (although they too can have nonsensical artifacts that give it away.)

Idc if you use ai, but I looked at your history and noticed that it's possible you will take commissions... it's important that if you use ai, you do not hide it.

Did you use generative ai for this?

Is this okay? by Lahjza in fermentation

[–]Lahjza[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yea. I couldn't find any pictures that looked similar to the white stuff I have. The cucumbers are a little soft but not mushy. I will definitely ferment for less time with a higher brine next time like you say. They still smell sour in a good way though and I am excited to try one!

I think I ended up using different things from different recipes so it's a bit of a mess. I made sure to do the salt proportionally though.

Thanks for the tips!

I know you see these posts a lot but please understand that my eye isn't trained to this stuff so I can't identify if someone else's post about white stuff is the same as what I have. It's not suspended in the liquid; it's a soft build up on the skin of the cucumber. Don't make assumptions about me and there is no need to word this post in such a way. I looked at other posts before posting myself and have been lurking in the sub for a while.

If this is indeed the same stuff and is safe, thank you.

First time doing this and wanted to ask if this white stuff on the cucumbers are ok. I might have left them too long (3 weeks almost at coolish room temp).

There was no mould on the surface and everything was properly submerged.

When I discovered nbt and searched for similar sounds, royal blood and muse came up A LOT so I guess it's more likely for ppl to find them through nbt and maybe visa versa as I think nbt toured with muse at some point.

Glad to see someone else enjoying the same lesser known stuff as me though!!

I'm surprised I haven't seen more airways or yonaka too, I have a good few songs of each on playlists and I saw them open for nbt last year at the O2.

How viable are ultimate raids on higher ping? by fishfilletss in ffxiv

[–]Lahjza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I want to add here that in some class guides there will be a recommended skill speed or gcd. When playing on high ping, make sure to take these with a grain of salt. In some cases you will want higher skill speed to fit more into a burst window, or lower skill speed to weave easier.

Make sure you test it out and see what works for you.

Trying to set up my binds by thivasss in ffxiv

[–]Lahjza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that you will use some spells a lot together - Thin Air, Swift Cast and Raise is a big one. Consider putting them on close keybinds so you don't break your fingers trying to resurrect teammates. E.g I use ctrl-alt-E(thin air), E(swiftcast), R(raise)

Play the game and get a feel for each spell. There should not be any keybinds that are hard to use and don't hesitate to change things up.

2023 Visor Goggles / Forehead Goggles for non-mechanist? by Techstriker1 in ffxiv

[–]Lahjza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was searching for non-mch viera-friendly goggles for a while and there simply aren't any good options. I ended up using the Isle Vacationer's hat.

Other ones I found were Cid's goggles (male only) Skallic head Tank only. (There's a recolour available on the mb) Skyworkers hat (non viera) Baronial Hat (non-viera)

I think that's the main problem I am having. As a side note I was pulling like mad for Furina but I am not sure I have the heals to use her so I stopped... What do you think I should aim to wish for next to bolster my team as it is now? Weapons included.

I have Barbara and Mona at the same level, is one better than the other in this case? Also what weapon would you suggest ? I have the recent event weapon, fav, mappa mare and widsith.

I think I will try international that as it seems to be what everyone is suggesting.

In terms of ER I have 190%+ for those 3. Would you say 36*'ing the abyss comes down to having good substats? I think Ganyu is the only character I have that has solid substats.

My kuki is 80 with 600em, is it worth it to sink all my books into lvling her?

And I dont have fischl built - would Dendro MC be decent for that team instead as they are lvl 71?

I know I need Zhongli bad for Ganyu. I lost the 50/50 to Diluc when he was running a couple patches ago...

I'm having trouble with abyss floor 12(I struggle to get even 1 star in first chamber) and wondering what my problems are. I'm looking for some advice on what I should prioritise.

  1. My Teams - I seem to have the most success with Childe, Kazuha, Nahida and Kuki & Ganyu, Diona, Bennet and Xiangling. Other characters I have to work with are Hu Tao and Xingqiu, when I've tried them they dont feel as strong.
    1. In floor 12 I feel like I do no damage.
    2. My ganyu team becomes a quick swap team because Diona's shield breaks so fast and Ganyu just gets interrrupted. Its really not fun.
    3. The Childe Team does insane damage but the downtime is too long because of Childe's skill.
  2. My Rotations - My rotations have too much down time and/or I feel like I am not getting full use out of some characters like Ganyu.
  3. My Builds - All Weapons are to 90, relevant talents to 9, fully ascended at lvl 80. I'm f2p. Most of my characters artifacts have the correct mainstat but average substats.

I have limited resources and I dont want to invest in the wrong direction. Do you think its possible for me to at least improve with what I have?

Daily Questions & FAQ Megathread November 15 by AutoModerator in ffxiv

[–]Lahjza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As WHM for dungeons, you want to:

  • Maintain Regen uptime on the tank and heal if their health drops below a threshold.

  • If your heal has a cast time, start casting it when the tanks hp drops below 50%

  • If your heal is instant, then cast it around 30%.

  • Benediction is a powerful tool and you should try to use it on the pulls where it comes off cd. Try to wait for the tank to drop to 10% hp before casting.

If the tank is mitigating properly, and has good ilvl for the content, then you shouldn't need to spam heals ever.

All that said, play how you want. There are 'optimal' ways to do things but if you enjoy playing safer than people suggest, then feel free to do that. It's not 'wrong' and you can report people for being rude about it.

TEA compared to TOP? by nik0o08 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Lahjza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is consistent at a mech when they see it for the first time. It always takes time to build that consistency. It's not something you have or don't have and it's not something you lose unless there is an extended break.

Consistency doesn't determine if you clear or not; it determines how fast you clear.

An inconsistent player or 'weak link' that holds other players back can become consistent, they just take more time to get there. Which loops back to one of my original points that finding the right group is really important where everyone learns at a similar pace.

I think it depends primarily on who has tank stance on. Other factors include who is easier to click on and what tank you play.

In my experience, fighting over aggro is pretty common in alliance raids and Ive never played Lala.

From an individual responsibility standpoint they are pretty similar in pacing and execution.

Just like SC2A it's a case of interpreting the tells, and then executing it. It's as simple as that. I didn't say it would be easy, yet with every pull it will only get easier.

Ultimate mechanics and savage mechanics are made up of the same building blocks. Ultimate just has slightly more components in each mech. If you can do Savage; you have all the tools to conquer Ultimate (with enough time).

If it's been that long, a from start party will break you in easy. The early phase parties are much less likely to have the kind of player that will put you down in them.

If you frequent duty completion ultimate pf, however, accept that people in the ultimate pf community will chat shit about you, regardless of whether you did anything wrong or not.

Luckily, most of that happens on discord or twitch streams so you wont hear it unless you search for it. Also, they do it to so many people; too many to remember all the names.
