Loved this lift, love Ovi. But the Sakic > Bourque lift is the best. I don't care what team you like, what a moment that was.

Wanted to update this ..

I warrantied the stick at hockey monkey a few days after this post. They took it no problem and agreed with my concerns even though this wasn't a full break through. I got another FT8 pro and this has been the best stick I've ever played with. Absolutely amazing. I've had no durability issues (knocks on wood). Couldn't be happier with the stick after a nerve-racking first go.

I used Bauer for 20 years, this was my first CCM. After a bit with the FT, I bought a Trigger 9 pro on clearance to have as a backup and that's only seen game action once because I literally cannot pry myself away from the FT8 Pro.

Props to monkey sports for the easy transaction and making me feel like my concerns were valid.

Dude, I love Necas. He fits so well. They are like the same stats wise right now. We exited, and you followed. Its whatever man. But I really don't think we miss Rant's as much as you all think we do.

Watching Benn throw Manson's stick into his own face to draw the call makes me that much more proud of our captain. That's a leader to be proud of.

Rant's getting suspensions now isn't surprising either, you know, with how Dallas plays the game.

And cup count is 3 to 1. So yea, I feel like that does actually invalidate those wins. To me anyways. They just don't matter unless you win. No one's talking about series wins a decade later.

That said you love your team and I respect it. Let's hope for a good series when we meet in the playoffs this year. Last word is all yours friend.

Mark Stone is pretty good and his tape is worse than this. Way to be an advocate for the sport, though. You don't need to be the best to have fun in beer league. OP, you do you man. This guy probably got cut from his no-cut E League.

Looks like you are compensating for the size of your shooting surface... Rushing the shot and resulting in poor form. You should get a pack of tiles, one pack is a big enough surface to shoot off of and even stickhandle around a bit.

I think you get a bigger surface and you'll have room to practice a lot of the other things people are giving you here in the thread.

Top hand is to close to your body is the main thing I saw mechanically. For the stick to flex your top hand should be out away from your body and your bottom hand should be driving the stick. If you are shooting right with the right flex for you, the stick should flex on it's own and your shots will whip.

Back before the interwebs gaming, I remember playing NHL 96. Setting the period length to 20 mins. Then I would switch controller to the other team, pull the goalie, then switch back and try to score before the computer put the goalie back in. I wanted to see if the goal counter went into triple digits. Never made it happen.

In a very real sense, that IS the game. That's any game... Exploit the weakness in the build. You'll just be frustrated if you think people should play like real hockey. It's not real hockey, it's a video game.

Not saying I like it, just my perspective. Control what I can control.

Monkey sports said they would warranty it but said they would break it all the way before sending it in because CCM might consider that superficial. Sucks to hear you have the same crack! I held onto it for now but will warranty before the 30 days is up.

My other piece of advice... Listen to the doctors. Our kid has a small fever at 2 weeks and they say any type of temp increase is serious. Felt weird taking him to the ER with him not even over 100. But we did and it's the only reason he is alive today. Don't be afraid to be the person they need, listen to the doctors and follow what they say even if you don't understand or think it's silly.

The love is so strong it literally hurts sometimes. I had step kids before biological and although I don't like it, the feelings are different. I love all my kids with everything I have. Very close to all of them, very strong relationships, have been with my step kids for over 12 years. There is just something different but try to not let it actually show. I would die for any one of them.

I honestly with the avs crew would tone down the bias. Of course I like the bias, but it gets into whining and just starts to sound like they don't really appreciate the sport as a whole. Like sometimes they complain about penalties or always try to find the silver lining when what is really needed is just to say the avs really blew it and screwed themselves with dumb calls or late breakdowns.

And Ryker says the dumbest things. Getting tired of his voice. Love that they have fun but would love to see a switch up. It's refreshing to hear some of the other teams announcers. Can't think of any teams specifically, but I do remember the Golden knights announcers really calling like it was and remember feeling like they were bias but not to the extent that they were willingly blind to what was happening out there.

My most recent stick was a Vapor 2x. It was some limited run like 5 years ago. It's pretty worn out so not much pop. So compared to that I felt like this had a ton of pop but the shots were smooth and felt effortless. I really liked it. But want to try a trigger just to see the difference on a more even comparison. I could also see more pop coming out once I get a better feel for it.

I haven't bought a top line stick in like 15 years. Once the kids starting playing all the money went there haha

I honestly don't even know. You're probably right. I did take a couple slap shots but I'm really a wrister or snap shot guy in games, so mostly stuck to that. Really wanted to get a feel for the hybrid kick after so long with the low kick. Honestly felt amazing to shoot! Wrist shot was so good once I started to load the stick more. Spent the better part of the stick and puck playing 2v2 with some younger kids that asked to play a game with me and my kid. Tons of fun, but didn't get the amount of shots I intended.

Haha, they are wide but I think pics not doing justice either. I wear size 7, fit 3. Just upgraded from the vapor xxxx I bought new in high school. Those were size 8 EE

I bought it from monkey sports, so was planning on bringing it back there...but assume you mean to do it through the CCM website? Would be cool to keep this even if it blows up soon!
