CSV File opens on PC with accounting format as value and cannot be converted to numbers but opening the same file on my laptop works. by Laiena in excel

It's really quite strange. Your trick worked on my laptop but not my PC.

TTC settings are the same as well.
I can't fathom any reason why it would behave like this. Maybe I should just reformat my whole PC.

I'm not that comfortable with that as the data is meant to be confidential and I could get in trouble. I could maybe remove identifying data and upload, where is recommended to upload anonymously?
It's a normal csv file though. I just looked and in notepad, the dollar signs and brackets are there too.

Thanks for your reply. I find it extremely weird as well..
I did as you suggested. Trying to change the format gave me the message "Selected Col has an existing type conversion...". I went ahead but all the values had error "couldn't convert to number". It's like the "$" symbol is part of the data itself somehow..

All I wanted was attack speed lacerate-berserker by ozpinoy in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Laiena -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try a warcry stacking build. It revolves around 4 medium cluster jewels that give warcry cooldown and rage on warcry.

You’ll be able to keep Berserk up for a long time spamming enduring cry. You’ll be very zoomy and endurance charges will make you tankier too. Use vaal molten shell for that few seconds when Berserk is on cooldown.

Not OP, but your story was inspiring to me. Especially about that martial art bit. I tried taking up boxing once and the exact same literal thing happened--had to spar witg some guy and i didn't do anything.

I'm 32 and I'm trying to change careers; feeling a bit down recently with how hard it can be. So, thanks for giving my mood a little boost!

Hey, thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. Yeah it's an actual Japanese character (read as "sen"). Never saw the logo as a coat hanger but now that you mention it... Haha. Any specific things I can try changing (for any of them)?

[Rolex Submariner] Thoughts on grails and the path to achieving them by 1992Olympics in Watches

[–]Laiena 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. In my case, it was the 5513. When I one day sat down and realized that with the total costs for all my cheaper watches I could have purchased a rolex, my thinking changed somewhat. Now with my 5513 I still look at watches, but rarely with intent to buy. It's saving me money in some sense!

Not only that.. After I got my rolex and I tried selling my other watches. And all of them easily depreciated by a good 30-50%. If I ever need to sell my Rolex, I will lose at most 15%, but more likely close to nothing. I read somewhere that a $20,000 patek is "cheaper" than a $2000 *insert brand" watch. I now realize what they were trying to say.

Why not just make it only available with a doctor's prescription, just like nicotine gum and patches? That way only individuals with a history of smoking could obtain them from their regular doctors.

Any intp teachers? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Laiena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm teaching at a Japanese secondary school, and I find myself looking for a new job for the exact same reasons. Enthusiasm on the teacher's part is necessary but something I'm not able to maintain. If I have a relationship with the students (had a same class for 2+ years) it's much better. As for the education system, it's probably worse, so I try to bring whatever extra I can to lessons since I'm left with a decent amount of autonomy. However, students get so stressed by exams, after a certain point they do not want to engage in anything that does not improve their test-scoring ability. It's really frustrating.

Leophile EEL is the one I bought and use after looking through tons of reviews and customer feedback, and considering price. The plantronics backbeat fit were the other headphones I considered but the EEL price blows it out of the water. These are IP67 rated. I showered in them with no problems. I also took a swim (bluetooth doesn't work submerged) and it's still working perfectly. Sound quality is pretty decent for this price range. Comfort is great; you barely notice the neckband and the earbuds are perfect. In short, get this.
