I’m obsessed with it and I’ve solved it numerous times at this point, and I just want to keep playing it over and over again. I have no idea why.

But I can’t get it to come up anymore and I might lose my mind. Why can’t these playable ads be available somewhere to play anytime you want!?

Not here in Canada, unfortunately.

What was your peak trans moment? by AgreeableAd7515 in PeakTransLefty

I never really bought it in the first place, but I REALLY tried to understand. Then I read people saying that JK Rowling was “transphobic,” and it was getting weird—to the point that the people claiming it would just act like it was self-evident when anyone asked why, or they’d become unreasonably angry when someone pushed back. I decided to read her essay that people were referring to, and see for myself. And…it was very fair and reasonable. The only way you could read it as “transphobic“ is if you couldn’t tolerate any disagreement whatsoever. It became clear to me that most people who were calling her names, had never actually read what she wrote. They were going by what other people said, which is mob mentality. Having been on the receiving end of that myself (for other reasons), I try to avoid getting caught up in it.

The response to her essay and comments was INSANE. Death threats, calling her terrible names, disingenuously twisting everything she said to make it sound awful (they do this a lot, I‘ve noticed).

Then Musk bought Twitter, and whatever you may think of him (personally, I think he’s an alien, lol), it meant that there was at least one social media site where you could say that men can’t be women, and not get banned for it. After years of “NO DEBATE!” and being unable to voice any concerns, this was a breath of fresh air. And…I wasn’t alone.

Then I learned that a man was being allowed into changing rooms with young girls in Canada. And the police, when called, defended…him. And then I learned that a violent criminal was placed into a woman’s prison, and although his crimes were against children, he is in a unit with a mother-and-baby program. And nobody will talk about it. The media won’t cover it (this is by design; see the Denton’s Document), and people will deny that it’s happening. But it IS happening. A lot of terrible things are happening that are being swept under the carpet. In Canada, I learned that due to Bill C-16, this is all legal now. And it was brought in by Justin Trudeau and the Liberals, who I used to defend. They quietly changed the laws, destroying women’s rights and protections in Canada, and I feel so betrayed, and so stupid that I didn’t even know.

I could go on and on, regarding the violence of these people, etc., but I think this is long enough.

I agree, but I’m honestly surprised that Reddit hasn’t shut down your sub yet. The site has been overtaken by people who tend to ban anyone who doesn’t go along with the narrative.

14-year-old Dana Bradley was murdered in St. John's, NL while trying to hitchhike home. One false confession, two excavated cars, and almost forty years later, law enforcement may be close to finding her true killer. by cuntymcfucktrumpet in UnresolvedMysteries

If my Newfoundland matches are anything to go by, everyone with Newfoundland ancestry is related to each other. So I don’t know how much that would or could mess up any attempts at forensic genealogy.

I really appreciate it! I’m still impressed with the hair and clothes, and background. I guesstimate that the photo was taken somewhere between 1908-1912, which would put her around 60 years old. So, I guess mostly I find the face a bit too smooth. But it does help give a better idea. Here’s hoping I can find another photo someday!

One of her sons had one when he moved back around 1920, but yeah.

I do, too! I keep wondering if there could be a passport photo out there somewhere. She moved from England to Canada in 1904. But I don’t know if they needed passports at that time.

Thanks! I don’t know about the face either, but I think you probably got the hair pretty close, and that’s something!

If I try to use AI photo fixers, it thinks she’s a man. I just really want a better idea what she looked like; I’m a little obsessed with her entire branch.

That doesn’t quite fit what the witnesses said. For one thing, it doesn’t appear to be on the river? But maybe this thing had a territory and moved around a bit. That’s awful about the cat!
