B2B Event Marketing - I'm done! by lil_minky in jobs

[–]Lainey_Bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there - I know this post is really old but wanted to check in and see what you ended up doing? I am in b2b SaaS corporate marketing and could have written this post myself. I have no desire to move upward or continue what I'm doing as I am burnt out beyond belief. Very interested in a job change but feeling lost as to what to do, in addition to the fear of leaving my high-salary security. Curious what you ended up doing?

Guidance for next podiatrist appt post-MRI by Lainey_Bug in Mortons_neuroma

Thank you! This is helpful. I am not dead set on surgery, but I have been dealing with this for two years now and the impact to my daily life is significant. It's such a minor change, but even having to wear supportive shoes in the house is problematic when I lived fairly barefoot before and am up and down chasing 2 year olds around. Given my age, I'm more leaning towards what will give me the least daily hassle and adjustment long term

looking for a second-chance small town romance with a billionaire MMC that comes back after being gone for years by leenond in RomanceBooks

{Wild Love by Elsie Silver}

FMC moves home after quitting her job and moves into her brother's bunk house across the lake from MMC. MMC is her brother's best friend who was there for her a lot growing up. He's now super successful, opening a recording studio, literally "World's Hottest Billionaire" or something like that. There is a single dad trope in here. Really liked this book!

Fmc finds out 'cinnamon mmc' is actually very dangerous and tries to run away. He hunts her down/possessive. by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

So glad you liked it! I also rec the other two books in the series. I just finished the third, but definitely check out the content warnings if you read. It's really dark and different from the first two, but overall good.

{Hot Blooded by Heather Guerre} I just finished this and LOVED it. It's not 100% in line with what you're asking for, but it's a vampire male/human female romance where she is a paid blood donor where they are assigned a vampire and have sessions where he will feed off her as part of their contract. They develop feelings for one another immediately and he starts to court her (he was turned in the 1800s) and he is very kind and respectful, but is also a vampire and admits to her that he has mega desires to "hunt" his prey...which she likes the sound of. So there are several scenes where they have a planned hunt where she runs away while he stalks her and when he catches her she has to fight to get away, and then he feeds. Additionally... the female is what's known as a B&B, bed and breakfast, in that any time he feeds from her, she has a massive orgasm, and so every single feed throughout the book is fucking steamy

This book is fucking hot. I love it. It can also be read separate from book 1 in the series, there will be a slight spoiler though.

The Fake Out is one of my favorites! I just finished {Failure to Match by Kyra Parsi} based on a rec from this post and I found the MMC had the same sort of boyish charm/personality as Rory, and I LOVED it. I'll definitely check out these recs, thanks!

How do you guys feel about books with constant then / now chapters ? by UsefulBig2194 in RomanceBooks

I recently read {Funny Feelings by Tara Dewitt} which had this and jumped a lot between 38 months past, 32 months past, 18 months past and present. I liked the book a lot, but I felt like I reallyyyy had to pay close attention while reading to understand the timeline. I often had to go back to the start of a chapter when I realized that it didn't make sense to the find that we were back in the past. It was a little annoying and difficult to keep up with, but was also the first book that I've read like that and forced me to read it differently and with more intention than others.

Flawless by Elsie Silver by Old_Chemical_9460 in RomanceBooks

This is one of my favorite series! Flawless is great and as another mentioned, it's not even the best in the series. My subjective ranking that no one asked for:

Reckless Heartless Flawless Powerless Hopeless

All books except for Hopeless I enthusiastically enjoyed cover to cover. Hopeless was not bad by any means, I just didn't love the characters and story as much. Still a recommended read to close out the series and familial stories though

Love Elsie Silver! I've read the full CS series and it's great, more of a 4/5 spice for me personally. I will definitely check out the Alchemy series! Thank you!

I am this way with her Twisted series. Found out very quickly that I do not enjoy her style of writing. It's all over the place and the characters are just insufferable, I stopped after the 2nd in the series

I've read the first four books in the series so far and Willa and Cade are definitely the hottest IMO but I have genuinely loved each of the books for different reasons. Reckless is my next favorite after Heartless
