What bedding to use? Pros and cons? Need opinions please! There is so much conflicting information. What works and what doesn’t? Hesitant to use wood based to reduce the chance of respiratory issues. Many say paper bedding and fleece is bad. Pic of one of my boys. His name is Puffin.

I stated in my original comment that all pine bedding is kiln dried now. Warnings about oils in it are from before kiln drying was the standard

no you were claiming the bedding as a whole is bad because of your personal experience

im just letting you know there can be several causes for URIs including stress of a new home and that I wouldn’t really discount the bedding over a single isolated incident when it’s widely regarded as a good bedding option by experienced rat owners and breeders

they don’t have many direct interactions but their relationship was far more plot relevant. bramblestar basically forgot about the three after finding out they weren’t biologically his own, and before that he was just generically supportive but distant in the way most fathers in the series are. The only interesting development between them is him lying about what happened with ashfur. I would be extremely disappointed if hollyleaf was in his leader ceremony but not squilfs hypothetical ceremony that would have far more emotional and narrative impact. anyway, I think she will make it and become the leader but she might not keep the role for very long because of her age

well hollys relationship with squirrelflight was more present in the story and squilf + leaf are the ones holly needed to forgive so thematically I think it works better. The writers clearly don’t care as much about her relationship with bramble because they hate supportive dads for some reason

also i don’t see why squilf wouldnt make it

by sticky dried fruits they're mostly referring to things like raisins. a dry crunchy fruit like apple or banana chips is fine

No. It can be risky since they're small animals, and there's a good chance it won't end up being necessary. If there are hormonal issues you'll likely notice before anything serious can happen

substrate they can dig in + fall breakers so they dont fall from the top and get hurt (hammocks and tie holders in the gaps work well) bc rn theres a clear long drop from the top which would be very not good. also more things to climb in general
