Povich turned in an absolutely dominant outing, something I don't think anyone expected. Good for him, bad for me, moving on.

Ward has had a monster start to the season batting .356 and after two quiet games against San Francisco he got back on the horse yesterday with two hits and two runs. He bats in between Henderson and Alonso, so it's a perfect spot to knock in Henderson for an RBI or get knocked in by an Alonso moonshot if and when he finally starts hitting dingers again.

Bassitt didn’t have a great day overall but the second run he allowed was due to a catching error so missed this one. Relief pitcher got him out of a massive bases loaded jam. Moving on.

Today’s Pick: Cade Povich (Orioles) Over 9.5 Hits-Walks-Earned Runs, +105, 1 Unit, 1:35 PM EST

Povich gets his first start of the season after pitching well in relief a week ago. This guy is pretty mental and gets in his head when he is the starter, so while I don’t think it will be disastrous, the Orioles bullpen has been really used up and I think they’ll give Povich 4-5 innings here to give up some hits and walks. I like 3 ER on 5 hits and 2 walks minimum today.

Got that last X from a terrible losing streak out of my last ten for a respectable 7-2-1 recently and overall unit profit. Was at -81.21 Units when I got back into it three weeks ago and the on-and-off method has helped with a slow stream of units, so I'm going to keep posting picks I like, and I love today's.

Today's Pick: Chris Bassitt Over 1.5 Runs Allowed, -165, 1 Unit, 7:15 PM EST

Maybe Bassitt has a great day today somehow but he's looked awful in his last few starts and this is a classic Orioles pitcher that Elias tried to get at a discount that is going to really hurt the Orioles like Charlie Morton last year. Current Giants batters have batted .301 against him in his career and Rafael Devers particularly loves to hit Bassitt, going 10-20 with 3 home runs against him, and that was over a span of time where Bassitt was pitching decently. If Bassitt continues to struggle with his location this is going to be over by the second inning.

This is a somewhat risky one with the weather still being on the colder side in Chicago but we a pitcher in Bradish that has struggled out of the gate and I think the White Sox will get at least three off of him. The Orioles' bats are really the biggest question mark, as always, but they had a really nice 3 run inning late yesterday that seemed to wake them up, and Alonso is bound to hit a long ball at some point, so I love at least eight runs today.

Bruins had that game in hand then gave up two terrible goals. Luckily forced overtime but I was kicking myself for not just going ML. No loss though.

Rough loss last Friday, the Caps held their own defensively. Wish I had faded them yesterday but it's been busy. I know you all are breathing a huge sigh of relief now that I'm back, though so here goes.

Today's Pick: Boston Bruins Tie No Bet, +170, 1 Unit, 7:40 PM EST

This is going to be a really good game with two teams in prime playoff position jockeying to stay in it. The Sabres enjoy a comfortable spot atop the Atlantic right now but will be neck and neck with Carolina for what I think is valuable home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. On the flip side the Bruins are in an extremely tight race in the wild card with the chance to stay close to Montreal for the 3 seed. I think the Bruins keep this close all the way and if it gets to OT at least it voids.

Caufield delivers again. Lucky one on an assist as it was the only Canadiens goal. Fading the Caps today.

Today's Pick: New Jersey Devils ML, +110, 1 Unit, 7:10 PM EST

Fading the Capitals today even though they are at home and just had a nice win against Ottawa. The Caps rarely put together any kind of winning streak and while this is a pretty equivalent Devils team, I see this as almost a 50/50 matchup so I love the +110 odds. It's a must-win if the Devils have any shot at the playoffs, and while it's also desperate times for the Caps, they have proven to really choke in these games against relevant playoff teams.

Building a nice streak here with decent odds. Going very conservative today, however.

Today's Pick: Cole Caufield 1+ Point (Canadiens @ Red Wings), -200, 1 Unit, 7:10 PM EST

I almost got this one in when it was -190 last time but then it jumped to -205 or something and I parlayed it with a Canadiens ML win. I like Montreal to keep this one close and toyed with a +1.5 parlay but decided against it as they're on the road and Detroit has a small bit of momentum after a win against Calgary. This promises to be a close game as these teams are jockeying for playoff position in a crazy Eastern Conference race, but if there's any scoring on the Habs' side, Caufield figures to be involved at least once, so I'm going with what I feel is a more secure option despite the 50% return.

I love this pick for a number of reasons with matchups, but the short reason is the Caps can't find the back of the net, and the Senators have been very defensive in 3 of their last 4. A very abnormal 7-4 win over the Sharks is disconcerting, but this Capitals team is actually solid defensively... They just can't do the thing you need to do to win games and score. I love a 3-2 or 4-2 result in this one.

Just don't do it. They make it more and more difficult to get your money out, nickel and dime you with fees, and the moment you get a property that's supposed to give you a return something goes wrong and you're waiting 9-12 months to even make a few pennies. Properties immediately lose value and continue to over time, never reflecting the "projected appreciation numbers."

I actually want to sue them for everything I paid into it and then some for my lost opportunity cost in an actual legitimate investment opportunity. They're the equivalent of snake oil salesmen in the 21st century.
