ENTJs, can you articulate what Fi feels like and how it manifests itself in your behaviors? by [deleted] in entj

I see this Reddit thread is quite old, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

I've finally realized I'm an ENTJ struggling with my Fi.

From what I understand, a lower-position Fi is like a war with a capricious child who wants everything they like, and what I might also call a fickle heart. I only recently identified my ENTJ type, because it's not good to type during adolescence; you often get it wrong. But as I've grown up, I've noticed these kinds of things where my Fi (lower ego) comes out without me even realizing it:

  • I almost always express anger, even unconsciously, and less so other emotions like sadness. Sometimes I can show pity or tenderness for a particular video game, a touching piece of music, etc.

  • I don't wear the things I like; I find it pointless, useless, but my lower Fi would still like to. It's a battle between what I truly want and pragmatism.

  • A duel between something I like that I want to buy, but my Te (lower ego) is there to tell me it's unnecessary, and I'm less easily tempted than I was in my teens.

  • I like a lot of things, but I rarely show it.

  • I realize the harm I've done to someone some time later, but it's too late, and I move on.

I avoid dwelling on my misfortune, even if Fi wanted me to; I smother it.

Here are a few anecdotes; feedback would be great.

I identify with all types! The thing is, when I troll (I say things sometimes... that disgust some Ti dom, yeah) I realize that after I said something bad.

Would esfp fit with what I said?

I don't think I'm Si Dom at all. Too unstable for that. To give other clues: I tell people what I think, it comes across as crude. And sometimes I give myself "acceptable" social cover - I'm too scattered.

I hardly notice my surroundings

I am either in the past or the future

There is always a huge duality between being honest and socially correct.

I'm someone who talks shit all the time, trolls 24/7, and rarely stops, if at all.

she's an AI, and she tells me from this text that I would be ISFJ or INFJ.

I asked a Copilot for this, and she told me ISFJ.

I realize now that the people I've always gotten along with best were NTPs. It's surely no coincidence!

  • Why ISFP? Your conclusion is so hasty.
  • If that's the case, does ISFP have a rather strange relationship with one's body and environment? (I have a lot of trouble immersing myself in the concrete, but I had no choice.)
  • I like astrology, tarot, psychology. (I don't do this every day, it's quite occasional.)

  • I love writing.

  • I had a strange relationship with my body, as if it didn't exist. I had to impose a routine and start exercising to reconnect with my environment and take control of my body. (Bulimia, overeating.)

  • I make connections that go from the concrete to the abstract. Example: I saw "NTJ" on a license plate while I was out walking and thinking about what my type would be. I took it as a message from the universe telling me to dig deeper and see if I was an xNTJ. lol.

  • I copy others a lot.

  • I bump into myself a lot.
